So right now, Christian fundamentalists have the power in US&A and want to conquer the world. Islam also want to conquer the world, jews want to conquer Israel. all of them are armed and seriously convince it exist some kind of divine power of some sort...
So my question is: For people like me, who do not believe in god and neither enjoy killing other humans neither for territory or for the fact that they think their god is better than the other one, where could we hide as all other will cheerfully nuke each other between USA, Russia, India, Pakistan, Israel, Iran, palestinia, North Korea and all this ****...
Where are we most likely to be safe from nuclear bombing, suicide bombing, forced conversions, church-bell-sounds and Imam-screamings, KKK ritual killings, which-hunting, death penalty and other middle-aged barbary?
Aren't we supposed to be in the XXIst f*kin' century?

you'll find peace in islam. muslims are not trying to conquer the world. they care more about obeying allah and following their religon correctly. they dont like to kill innocents. and no what u see through media is not true. you have to read the quran with an open mind and heart and u will realize how peaceful islam is. and i dont think its safe to live anywhere. i as a muslim hate violence. my religion forbids it. and it would be nice to live somewhere peaceful. but u wont find such place in this cruel world. the only place ull find peace is in heaven. so seek the truth and allah will help u find him. u just have to ask him to guide u and he will listen. and when u follow him, his path will lead u to heaven. may allah help us and guide us all.

As long as humans are on this planet there will be conflict. As long as two people want the same spot of land there will be conflict. If not fighting over religion, it will be natural resources, land or power. The best you can do is to try to make your little part of the world better by reaching out to those in need. If you do not believe in God, I’m not sure how you find inner peace. But the more you put your efforts toward the needs of others the more satisfaction you are likely to find.

Well I am not so sure you will find peace by going to Religion and Spirituality Answer forums and complaining about things you don't even claim to believe in. You will however find peace when you first develop some form of humility. Once you have internal peace then you can transmit that to other people. Its all clearly outlined in that book about the thing you don't believe in which is the very answer to your question.
May GOD richly bless and give you mercy on your quest.

Tequila7 has said it quite nicely.
I highly recommend turning your mind away from the incessant agitation & turmoil of the world; the century will not matter, human nature does not change. Human capacity, however, is nearly limitless & largely ignored in our externally obsessed society (like many but not all societies). Meditation has helped me understand just the smallest part of what the human capacity is for experiencing peace; I highly encourage others to investigate this aspect of human life for themselves & see what there is through your own experience.
Peace,
;-)

That's quite a question! I'm a Christian and the Christians iIknow have no desire to rule the world. I (as a Christian) am an abassador for my kingdom (the Kingdom of God). My only "job" is to tell people that there is a way out. It's like this. There is a place where a father loves children, and that father is a king with all power. He has only one son, who never did anything wrong - not ever. The king said "My son, you are perfect, but I want more kids. I want to adopt them. The kids I want are liars, murderers, thieves, prostitutes, lawers, doctors, rich , poor. I want to give them your inheritance. Will you search high and low and bring them to me?"
The son answers "Sure Dad! I can hardly wait. I've always wanted a house full".
The father says "You know that all that belongs to you I will give to them to share? Even thought they are murderers, etc?"
The son says "I heard you. No problem . I already love them. In fact, I'd die for them right now".
The father says, "That's what I have in mind, Son. I'm angry because they are such liars, murderers, etc., so i need to pour out all of my anger - but I want you to be the stand in. even if you say yes, they will hate you and deny you and spit on you and call you a liar."
The son says, "I already love them. I'll do it, even if only one ever comes to live with us in our Kingdom."

What you describe is the process of decay that much of the world is in right now. It is only one part of the process. Simultaneously, a process of composition is taking place. You will find peace in serving humanity in its process of composition. Surround your life with just people and use your gifts and talents to serve humanity.
(You might also consider the Root of your moral conscience.)
“Members of the human race! Hold ye fast by the Cord which no man can sever. This will, indeed, profit you all the days of your life, for its strength is of God, the Lord of all worlds. Cleave ye to justice and fairness, and turn away from the whisperings of the foolish, them that are estranged from God, that have decked their heads with the ornament of the learned, and have condemned to death Him Who is the Fountain of wisdom. My name hath uplifted them to lofty grades, and yet, no sooner did I reveal Myself to their eyes than they, with manifest injustice, pronounced the sentence of My death. Thus hath Our Pen revealed the truth, and yet the people are sunk in heedlessness.
Whoso cleaveth to justice, can, under no circumstances, transgress the limits of moderation. He discerneth the truth in all things, through the guidance of Him Who is the All-Seeing. The civilization, so often vaunted by the learned exponents of arts and sciences, will, if allowed to overleap the bounds of moderation, bring great evil upon men. Thus warneth you He Who is the All-Knowing. If carried to excess, civilization will prove as prolific a source of evil as it had been of goodness when kept within the restraints of moderation. Meditate on this, O people, and be not of them that wander distraught in the wilderness of error. The day is approaching when its flame will devour the cities, when the Tongue of Grandeur will proclaim: “The Kingdom is God’s, the Almighty, the All-Praised!”

It does seem like the world is being overtaken by evolutionary throwbacks.
Luckily, we have a lot of wooded land out in the country with No Trespassing signs. Keeps out everyone but the Jehovah's Witlesses.

I understand the dilemma, I feel the same to the point of dysfunction at times.
I know however that the only way you can find peace is in your own heart.
We can't control any of the big stuff. And that in itself can drive us bonkers. We can however, keep ourselves busy.
Good luck to you.
Peace.

Remember John Lennon ? He was asking the same thing with Imagine. Imagine no religion, nothing to kill or die for....Imagine all the people living life in peace.
But really you have to start with yourself. Peace and love be with you.
