Hopefully you kept a list of who gave what to you, so you can somewhat personalize by saying something like:

Dear Aunt Mary,

It was so wonderful seeing you at my baby shower - being able to celebrate such a meaningful occassion with family and friends, especially you, was a joy. Also, thank you for the baby monitor - it will be put to good use in the near future when the baby arrives.

Again, it was great seeing you, and thank you for your kindness during this special time in my life.

Sincerely, Your Name

pamela, i don't believe there is really "good way" of saying thank you that would take the place of a sincere good old fashion "thank you" i know sometimes we want to say it in a more stronger way, but they just haven't made any better words in which to say it. anyway , i hope you can get help on this because i know you are sincere. good luck.

Make sure you use their name and specify the gift they gave you and what you intend to do with it. NEVER say you're going to return it because you really wanted this or that. Thank them for attending.

Personalize each card by mentioning the gift...and be sincere.
