I take a loaf uncut of french or sourdough bread and cut it down the middle so you have 2 halves.. I take real butter and melt it and add garlic powder a pinch of salt oregano and basil and mix those together. Then I take a clove of garlic and mince it up real tiny. I add that in with the butter spread..I take a pastry brush and brush both sides of the bread and place the bread on a cookie sheet. I warm up the oven to 350, but before putting the bread in I then sprinkle it with Parmesan and Romano grated cheese...Cook in the oven for about 15 minutes or when edges have started browning..cut it up and serve.....

Crispy Garlic Bread:
1 small loaf of French bread
1/4 cup of olive oil
3 thinly sliced garlic cloves
Heat oven to 350º F. Cut 1 small loaf of French bread in half lengthwise. In a large skillet over low heat, combine 1/4 cup olive oil and 3 thinly sliced garlic cloves. Heat until the garlic is fragrant and lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Brush the oil onto the bread, placing some garlic pieces on top. Place in oven and bake until crispy, about 10 minutes.
Yield: Makes 4 servings

Get a loaf of french bread, day old is fine. Cut at an angle so the pieces have a good amount of bread surrounded by the crust. Melt butter, I'd use 1/2 stick for one loaf, then add either powered garlic (not garlic salt) or crushed garlic (crushed even more with a spoon). Mix the butter and garlic together, spread with a brush on the bread. Heat oven to 400o Heat for about 5 minutes. Keep an eye on it so it doesn't get too brown.

Slice french or italian bread into ovals and place on cokie sheet.
IN a coffee mug, melt 1/2 stick butter adn an equal amt of olive oil. Add about 1 Tbsp. garlic powder (I like GP better than fresh garlic on bread). Add some parsely flakes for color, if you want. Using a spoon, put some butter mix on the bread and smear around w/ the back of the spoon. Do this to all pieces. Then sprinkle very lightly w/ a bit of grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake 425ºF for about 7-8 minutes or until light brown.

Cream 1/4 cup butter with 1 clove garlic; pressed (or spoon a little from a jar of crushed garlic). Split your French bread loaf lengthwise in half, and spread with the garlic butter. Broil 1-2 minutes.

The truly easiest, yummiest way is to get a good wide french stick and either slice lots of pieces like the pizza shops or cut length ways from one end to the other. Then you get whatever butter you have in the fridge - better if its salted or not reduced fat, they just tend to have more flavour to begin with, then you mix in minced garlic - its great so easy and full of flavour with the juice and aroma you want, and parsley flakes to look good. For an extra taste sensation add grated cheese - it tastes SO good!! Then either wrap in foil and bake or leave open and grill. Voila
