Jehovah's Witnesses both witness personally and bear witness to others regarding God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.
(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah
(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus
(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”
(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

How to tell a true Jehovah's Witnesses?
First they don't get involved in politics. They don't go to war and reject violence. Before you say they enjoy freedoms others die for. Let me say there is more JW in the other countries and during ww2 the German JW's died rather than fight the American soldiers. No American soldier was ever killed by one of JW's.
They do try to help people understand the bible.
But many who don't want to be there religon gets called on because they are old and simply need someone to call on them.
They are all volenteers, none are paid anything for their time.
For the gas they use to call at people's homes. Or for the literature they place to help people to understand the bible.
They do not believe in a firey hell, but death is non existance.
They do believe in a paradise earth where the majority of mankind will be resurrected to live again on the earth.
Some say they believe they are the only ones saved, they don't.
They believe those who come back in a resurrection may have never heard of Jesus. The savior of mankind. So how can they be judged if they don't know. Besides why would they go door to door if they believed they were the only ones going to be saved?

Well, I know my mom would be dead if she were still a Witness b/c she's had to get about 5 blood transfusions in the last 3 years. My dad was so screwed up from being raised a Witness he wouldn't talk about God or religion for years. He joined a support group several years ago and is doing much better.
Honestly, I thank God every day my parents saw the light and didn't raise me in that mess.

No, but I got a visit from some JWs recently. The first thing I said was that I was gay, and they said that they had no opinion one way or the other but that their "bible" said it was wrong so it was wrong. I then pointed out that their "bible" differed from the Bible in the most fundamental way. That is to say, in John 1,1, it says that in the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Their "bible" says that the word was a god, which immediately reduces Jesus to nothing more than a pagan idol. Even the Koran at least recognises Jesus as a prophet. Anyway, toward the end of our conversation, it became apparent that they did indeed have opinions, and they weren't shy about expressing them. Sad, really.

They follow the bible closely. If they make mistakes such as the whole 1914 incident they admit and correct. Most religions would continue to lie and not admit they were wrong or incorrect.

as far as i know, not everyone, just 400,000 people will resurrect.
it is consider a cult because in the beginning, the leader of the "church" said the world would end like in 1940, after that, in 1960, and so on, with the purpose of manipulate the members.

They get baptized as one and they belong in the organization. They don't baptized children like Christendom does. You have to know basic Bible knowledge, apply it in your life before you are allowed in.
