Hang in there, my wife in a mental health therapist. I find it so amazing and I'm so proud of her for doing her job. Life is tough sometimes, but will get better. I think the world is full of "those" people who make fun of everybody. You know as well as i do that those people are hiding something or have a problem too. Keep your head up and take a deep breath. You're gonna be OK.

It must be so difficult to be you. Wow, I thought abused kids, grieving parents and those living in famine ravaged countries had it tough. They do, but not as hard as you, huh? Many people put on a brave face every day to go to work / uni. How dare you assume that everything`s rosy in their lives? You only know what you see. To be honest, you`re quite unusual that you are so able to list the personality traits you see as positive (courage, honour and integrity). You can choose to question the assumtions you make about people. You can choose to apply for an Open University course. You can choose to stay locked up in your flat forever. You can choose to face your demons or not. I have no doubt that bad things have happened in your life. You are an adult. I don`t doubt that you will post another, similar post soon. You probably won`t take on board any of the advice you have been offered. Why? Because the only person who can change you is you, and you don`t appear to feel the need or inclination to. It`s sad, and I hope I`m wrong (I`m sure you`ll let me know if I am).

I see that God is encouraging you to find help tonight. Only god can help you because there is totally know one in your life that you can now trust. Follow your heart and rely on only the most tested facts. Be safe in a safe place and get well. God will not let you down but the second you can think better you must try to help another outcast like yourself. You both will learn faster than alone. You were wrongly treated at sixteen in fact all your life you had really been alone. Get praying but start the prayer that uses only questions. God can't help you if you keep telling him what to do.

I'm a graduate psychology major in college, and I have BiPolar disorder. But I must say your question is very confusing. First, you say that part of why you got sick (I assume you meant with BiPolar) was because people in school were mean to you? That makes NO sense. One does NOT contract Bipolar from stress or dperession. It is inherited genetically! Then you say becaue of how bad you felt and the meds you took that you couldn't go to college? Hey, I've been on lithium since I was 17 and I am now going for my Master's degree in psychology at the University of Texas. And THEN you wonder what you have done to deserve the disease. Deserve has nothing to do with it; it's all genetic, just like being short, or blue-eyed, or having diabetes, whatever. But it really sounds to me like you were mid-diagnosed. You do NOT sound like a bipolar. Tell me what medication you take for it? What dosage?

People , especially children, can be very cruel. Alot of times they ridicule others because they are either jealous or want to cover up their own defects. Just remember, you were getting the help that you needed while they went on to become full grown a**holes. Do not let their ignorance occupy space in your head that you could be devoting to God. Those bad thoughts and feelings are just demons trying to reserve a space in HELL for you. Keep your faith! Once a day you could try writing 5 things that you have to be grateful for. Each day, you can add 1 more thing and watch the list grow! It helped me.
