The whole New Testament tells of extreme Heartbreak. It tells of unrequited love. Jesus is standing there loving us but, we do not want anything to do with him. It makes me cry every time I think of it. He loves us so much he even let them kill him to tell us how much he loved us. Talk to him in deep prayer, believe me he understands. Go to www.savior.org. He is there in the Blessed Sacrament and just cry. He knows all about it already.

"A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit." Proverbs 15:13
"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first." John 15:18
"He who hates me hates my Father as well." John 15:23
Because you are in the Light, it is easy for you to love and to be in love with just about anyone. But a person who isn't in the Light or is/are shifting in and out of the Light, may not like you or dislike being around you because it/you are not alluring as the darkest can seem.
Also, you need to see where you are coming from. Can you be the one who is shifting in the dark and light? If you are, you be projecting a darker image for yourself, and your "lover" who could be in the Light is repulse by your spirit.
Which ever is the case, you need to ask God for help in showing you and your "lover" the true light and guidance.
The Book of Isaiah is a good source of heartaches and triumphs

Dear Mr. Nice Guy,
When my heart was breaking and I felt like I was drowning in quicksand and molasses, I found great comfort in reading the Bible from cover-to-cover. I read The Daily Walk Bible and found it to be such great comfort that I finished it in 90 days.
People who loved me meant well when they gave me their advice but there was just no comfort for me.
With the Bible I was especially comforted by the book of Isaiah starting at Isaiah 40, and also with Jeremiah chapters 17, 29, 31, 33.
May the awesome uncreated Creator of the universe give you abundant comfort and thank you for giving me the opportunity to share what helped me immensely!

Ezekiel 25:17 among others The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

Epistle Of Saint Paul To The Ephesians
Chapter 6
10 Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power.
11 Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. 12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. 13 Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace:
