i'm suppose to meet this girl from online for mini golf in a lil over an hour, but i'm not so sure i wanna go now. i have no way to contact her to cancel so its either just go to stand her up. bc i looked at her pics aagain and i'm really not attracted to her...atall. and dont reeally wanna pay money to go on this date when im not into her physically. my friend ashley says dont go if ure not into her. and agrees shes ugly. what shouldi do?

You were obviously interested for SOME reason and looks are meaningless if personality sux...meet the girl at the mini golf...tell her you'd rather get a cup of coffee and chat.
You will learn alot from the experience itself and the girl does not deserve, regardless of looks to be toyed with after you made a definitive plan---its part of being an adult----the little commitments we make...keep yours and learn from it----not to meet so quick and/or not to take physical attractiveness as your primary criteria for a relationship.Many a gorgeous girl wonders if the 'love of her life' would stick around if she were in a fire or something and her look changed....and you?

No offense to you, because I barely know anything about you, but if you are cancelling the date just because she's not hot, then you are most likely superficial. There is more to a successful relationship that physical attraction. Sometimes, it doesn't even exist. I don't mean to insult you, but I think that you should go on the date and see what she's like. If you still are not at all attracted to her, then don't continue the relationship.

I think you should go if you said you would. The thing about online dating stuff is that everyone is worth meeting. You may not hit it off as a romantic couple but you might meet a great friend. Your new friend may have a friend that is perfect for you. You just never know. Why slam doors?

Whether or not you've suddenly decided that she's ugly, the right thing to do, not to mention the uncowardly thing to do would be to go and just tell her right upfront that you don't think this is a good idea, but that you didn't want to stand her up. When you get there, just say, "I'm really sorry, but I'm not really interested in this but I didn't want to stand you up. I also have other plans so I have to leave. Sorry again. Have a good night".

Don't be a jerk. You owe it to her to be polite enough to at least not stand her up.
I once FLEW to meet a girl I met online. Spent hundreds of dollars and a whole weekend to meet her. When we actually met in person, zip, zilch, no chemistry. Nothing. Know what we did? We went and had a fantastic time just hanging out.
