Jehovah's Witnesses understand heaven to refer to the dwelling place of spirit creatures such as Jesus and the angels. They understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments).
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”

Hell is NOT someplace/something mankind needs to fear; there is no suffering in the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling. Each person "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%*) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

Jehovah's Witnesses who choose not to socialize with members of other religions do so for personal reasons, and not as part of any religious doctrine.

Paul at Romans 8:16 said that Jehovah's Spirit would reveal to those of the anointed.

Rom 8:15 For YOU did not receive a spirit of slavery causing fear again, but YOU received a spirit of adoption as sons, by which spirit we cry out: “Abba, Father!” 16 The spirit itself bears witness with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 If, then, we are children, we are also heirs: heirs indeed of God, but joint heirs with Christ, provided we suffer together that we may also be glorified together.

Why we are separate:

2 Cor 6:14 Do not become unevenly yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship do righteousness and lawlessness have? Or what sharing does light have with darkness? 15 Further, what harmony is there between Christ and Be´li·al? Or what portion does a faithful person have with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement does God’s temple have with idols? For we are a temple of a living God; just as God said: “I shall reside among them and walk among [them], and I shall be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 “‘Therefore get out from among them, and separate yourselves,’ says Jehovah, ‘and quit touching the unclean thing’”; “‘and I will take YOU in.’” 18 “‘And I shall be a father to YOU, and YOU will be sons and daughters to me,’ says Jehovah the Almighty.”

I hope these scriptures help.

Rev 7:3 "Don't harm the earth or the sea or any tree! Wait until I have marked the foreheads of the servants of our God."
Rev 7:4 Then I heard how many people had been marked on the forehead. There were one hundred forty-four thousand, and they came from every tribe of Israel:
Rev 7:5 12,000 from Judah, 12,000 from Reuben, 12,000 from Gad,
Rev 7:6 12,000 from Asher, 12,000 from Naphtali, 12,000 from Manasseh,
Rev 7:7 12,000 from Simeon, 12,000 from Levi, 12,000 from Issachar,
Rev 7:8 12,000 from Zebulun, 12,000 from Joseph, and 12,000 from Benjamin.
Rev 7:9 After this, I saw a large crowd with more people than could be counted. They were from every race, tribe, nation, and language, and they stood before the throne and before the Lamb. They wore white robes and held palm branches in their hands,
Rev 7:10 as they shouted, "Our God, who sits upon the throne, has the power to save his people, and so does the Lamb."

As you can see from Revelation the 144,000 are Jews. They are descendants of the 12 tribes of Isreal. Jehovah's Witness are a cult. There is a lot of information about them on the web. When I typed in the name for a Sunday School class I was in about world religions I found out a lot of stuff I didn't know to much stuff to get into here but it doesn't take long to find out what you want to know.

I'll try to answer this with tact......the 144,000 are spiritual israelites since the actual 12 tribes of Israel were the original 144,000. the 12 tribes mentioned in Revelation chapter 7 must refer to this spiritual Israelm and for several reasons. The listing does not match that of natural Israel at Numbers chapter 1 . Also Jerusalem's temple and the priesthood and all the tribal records of natural Israel were permanantly destroyed, lost forever, long before John and his vision in 96 CE. But more importantly , John had his vision upon a background of aforementioned developments from and after Pentecost 33 CE. In the light of such events, John's vision of those standing on the Heavenly Mount Zion with the lamb ( whom natural Israel had rejected) revealed the number of this spiritual Israel of God to be 144,000
"bought from among mankind" Rev.7:4 ; 14:1,4

Rev chapters 14-19 talks of Babylon the Great....Christendom of today ...religions of today adulterate the true religion with apgan holidays, rituals, idols, etc. they mock God saying so what if you want pure worship..we worship the way we want.
So what if the prophets were murdered and tortured..so what if I want to steal and involve myself with politics..so what if we pledge allegience to the national flag...we have deemed this okay...There isn't anything God can do to us....so Babylon the great will fall at the edge of Jesus spiritual sword when he vindicates Jehovahs soverignty.
Jesus will show you then that what his father says...you should do....JUST SO.
So when Jehovah's Witnesses stay away from other relligions it's because God told us to quit touching the unclean thing so that we will not share with her in her sins and receive part of her plagues.

Don't know. I believe God is coming back soon. Check out my question "Do you think the birth of the Red Heifers born in the 1990’s is proof that the Messiah will be coming soon?" My question shows differences in beliefs between the Jewish religion and Christianity.

It always seemed rather stupid that they know there are a very limited number of slots in heaven, yet they keep trying to convert others, thereby reducing their own chances. What's the sense in that?
