It matters not how a body dies or is deposed. Whether eaten by sharks or cremated, everyone except the wicked will be resurrected at Christ's Second Coming. The wicked will be resurrected after the 1,000 years of Christ's reign.
When the resurrection occurs, it means that the body, regardless its condition or location, will be reunited with the spirit the way it was laid down. At an undetermined time, all infirmities will disappear and the body will take on a perfected form of flesh and bone, with all arms, legs, and anything else that was missing. Not even a hair of the head will be lost.

I would be interested in knowing more about these resurrections you often hear of. Are you talking about when someone is clinically dead and is then revived? Because that's the only time I can think of when the body is intact. When you die, the tissue starts breaking down. After three days, an unrefrigerated body will be a putrid mess. This is hardly what I would call intact.
But the reference to the Phoenix was brilliant.

Impossible - there is no body to be resurrected. And, since no one has ever come back from the dead, there can be no such thing as a resurrection....that is unless you believe zombie movies.

according to the catechism of the catholic church it is possible, as long as the body was not burned in denial of the Resurrection.
and as stated by many others, it is the soul not the body that is resurrected.
