Hi there...it certainly would be best to consider giving the vet a ring and discuss this in detail with him/her as it could be as simple as stopping the Fancy Feast if she has food sensitivities or if necessary to make a return trip. Because there is too much history we don't know that your vet does about your kitty they would be best to consult.

Generally when a cat scoots their bum on the floor it means the anal sacs are impacted. A normal bowel would be able to help express the anal sacs whereas soft stools doesn't push on the sacs. She may need to have them expressed which the vet would do.

Sounds like she has impacted anal glands that need to be cleaned out, they hurt and itch, that's why she's rubbing on the floor trying to itch them, some cats will clean them out themselves but most will not and the vet will need to clean them out. The vet might advise you to clean her after she goes potty for awhile too if it's sloppy. She needs bulk, I'm wondering if she doesn't have some sort of parasite or need to be dewormed again or possibly has some food allergies making her go like that. Do you watch what kinds of fancy feast you feed her? Like is it 1 kind each day or different ones? Turkey and chicken tend to make cats go sloppier. I would ask the vet to recommend a moist food and avoid the commercial ones, they add alot of junk to them. Iams is a good brand, costs more but good quality. Hills Science Diet is good and there's numerous vet brands. Do you ever brush your cat? What about hairballs? Does she vomit at all? I would start brushing her, feed her a treat each week that is meant to help furballs too and change the commercial food to vet approved foods. I would have them look her over very well for any parasites. Does she eat odd things or lick anything in a strange manner? Sometimes there's underlaying illness that results in bowel problems too. I had a cat that licked stones and cement, he had kidney problems. I would get a blood work up and maybe a bowel xray to rule out everything, then work with the vet to find something that makes her stools even out.

definitely take her to the vet....it could be that she has an intestinal problem and it REALLY needs to be checked, especially since she's acting kind of lethargic too.
