Do you mean marking? Or hiking his leg inside? If so - that's a housetraining problem and should be addressed as such. Neutering might help, but he still needs training.
Male dogs mark, but if trained shouldn't do it indoors. My male has never lifted his leg inside anywhere, but outside - he's a marking fool! And he's neutered. And - some females do it also - not the leg lifting part, but the marking part. My female does it as well, she's kinda dominant so that might be why. It's just like a doggie newspaper! One marks and others come along and read about it.

It would help.....urinating all over the place is a way of marking territory. Un-neutered dogs are very territorial. I would recommend cleaning the peed on spots with Nature's miracle (available in pet stores) or some other enzymatic type odor remover to get rid of the smell. Dog's noses are way more sensitive than ours and can smell things we can't. Where they smell urine, they will re-mark. The enzymatic type odor removers are most effective in getting rid of odor.

Neutering is the only answer. additionally by potential of no longer neutering him you're risking him to tumors and maximum cancers later in existence. My father in no way neutered his canines and around 8 y/o he progressed tumors that the vet reported if he did no longer neuter the canines would proceed to reoccur for the era of his existence. Neutering is an person-friendly operation that takes a vet 20 minutes to accomplish, it somewhat is like stepping into for a teeth cleansing it is so recurring and could be finished. it's going to basically take one time on your canines to flee and shuttle to discover a woman in warmth. do him a desire and your furniture, get him fastened.

dogs don't spray. Male dogs tend to urinate everywhere to mark their territory. It really varies if neutering takes care of the urinating, the age at which they are neutered has a lot to do with it.

It will help but it will take several weeks and possibly a couple of months before he will start to lose the hormones. Don't expect a miracle cure though as if he's older he will have developed the behavior into a habit that you will have to train him out of.

It depends on his age, but it is likely that it will curb the behavior somewhat. He's still going to lift his leg to pee, but if you're on a walk he might not stop at *every* fire hydrant, bush, and street sign.

It will also help to keep him from fathering unwanted puppies, so even if he still marks, you'll be better off. Not to mention that he'll probably be less likely to test your dominance. You should definitely neuter him.

It would really depend on how old your dog is. But it would definitely cut down on the problem even if your dog is several years old. It would also make your dog more mellow.

it doesn't fully help but it does do a lot of good, it also helps with some boy behaviors like humping, and obcessing with females. it is probably a good idea, but it is a final decision so think it through.
