34For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

I don't see how they can be one and the same. when u cross reference that verse u get this at Psalm 110
1The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool
I agree that one can't earn salvation, but why wasn't King David in heaven?

Yeah, i'm sorry, that's the words of the Apostle Peter in Acts chapter 2 when speaking to the Jews. I really wish people would do more research than just saying John 1; 1 cause i'm very aquainted with that one. I've seen other translations say a god or divine one.

Nope this just says that death is a state of unconcious, and we will go to heaven when christ returns, not when we die. Just like when jesus told his disciples that the girl who died was asleep. They though he was being literal until he told them that she was dead. The Bible also says that only God posseses immoratality, not some floating whispy ghost. But that is a good verse to open your eyes to the truth. sorry for the lack of references. I am trying to do this fast.
here's another good one on the state of the dead. ecc. 9:5

David didn't ascend into Heaven... his body is still in the grave, his SOUL is in Heaven. Jesus ascended bodily, David did not. If God and Jesus are not the "same" then there is more than One True God or Jesus is a false God.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was GOD vs 14 And the Word became flesh and made His dwelling amoung us.

Jesus Christ is risen and sitting at the right hand of God. All power & authority is given Him.
Jesus Christ is Lord. Jesus is putting snakes and scorpions under our feet. Who is he who overcomes. He who is born of God. What is our victory? Our faith.
Elohim is plural of ALH. The LORD (Yahweh) thy God (Elohim) in one (united/AKD) LORD (Yahweh).
The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is in agreement. Jesus said what the Father said. Jesus is the express image of God. The Father, Word & Holy Spirit aren't the same, but they are Elohim.
David is in heaven also. Those in Abrahams bosom ascended to heaven when Jesus rose from the dead.
The scripture you bring up is very prophetic of Jesus Christ, and rewritten in the New Testament. Hebrews 1:13. Read the whole chapter.

I don't know which book that's from but it sounds Old Testament.
The book of John begins "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" Then verse 14 says "The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us."
So no, God and Jesus are the same. If something in the New Testament contradicts something in the Old Testament, always go with the new.

The only ones who go to heaven are those who are saved through Jesus Christ- not good people- nobody is good as it says in Romans 3:10. You cannot do anything to earn heaven- it is a free gift from God- it is by His grace we are saved! Ephesians 2:8
God and Jesus are one. Jesus does sit at the right hand of God- but remember God is all Spirit- He is not like you and me. God can do anything- for anything is possible with Him. His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts as it says in Isaiah. God became flesh when he died on the cross- He became Jesus Christ. See John 1:1. and in Matthew 10 Jesus says "I and the Father are one"

God can deny anyone Heaven. Only God knows a person's true intentions. Jesus is not God/ he was a man and a prophet. He never asked people to worship him, his mission was to make the populance aware of God and God's teachings.

If you have come to this realization on your own, you are truly blessed with holy spirit. Good for you either way--either you figured it out yourself with God's holy spirit or it was revealed to you through another source and you accepted it. Wonderful.

All LIVING and DEAD good people DO NOT go to Heaven... yet.
And Jesus Christ and God, our Heavenly Father, ARE NOT the same person.
So what else is new or earthshaking??
Peace be with you.

FIRST OF ALL I LIKE DAVID.BUT YOU CAN'T REALLY CLASSIFY HIM AS BEING A GOOD PERSON.HE MURDERED PEOPLE AND THEN HE MURDERED MORE PEOPLE.SOME OF THOSE PEOPLE ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE GOD TOLD HIM TO KILL-------NOW THAT OPENS ANOTHER CAN OF WORMS-----------I'D HAVE TO SAY THAT GOD FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT AND JESUS FROM THE NEW TESTAMENT DON'T EVEN KNOW EACH OTHER AND IF THEY DID THEY WOULDN'T GET ALONG TO WELL.
