There are lots of them. Hugs you already mentioned. Compliments (sincere), small gifts that reflect what you know they will like, a phone call now and then to say you're thinking of them, praying with people is very powerful, a letter telling them how wonderful they are with specific things they do to love and encourage you. I suggest you keep a notebook and write down everything you can remember that others have done for you as well as how you bless others. It will become a real treasure and a resource for you. I think you're wonderful to ask such a question! You go, girl.

God has blessed me with a beautiful singing voice and a way with relating to teens on their level. I use my gifts by using my voice for God and God only and I also do a mentoring program for teens in my community. Sometimes I think people forget how hard it can be to be a kid and they tend to push them aside and not take their problems seriously, until it's too late.
If you have the gift of encouragement, you can join a peer counseling group that offers an open ear and kind words for those who are going through a difficult time. You can put your gifts to many good uses! Good luck!

You can always be a blessing to others by just giving them a big smile as you pass them by. Visit the nursing homes if you have the time and if you are around Army Or VA hospitals visit them and ask if you can help with any project they might have such as bingo or any games that are being put together for the troops. There are volunteer job for any hospital that could take up all of the time you can give them. you could also join church activities that help others. These are only a few of the things you can do to help others. May god bless you in all your endeavor.

Thanks for the hug. I sure needed it. You can always go and visit people in hospitals and nursing homes that have been forgotten by family and friends. They are very lonely and always appreciate people coming by just to talk. It is very encouraging to them. Something else you can do is write to prisoners with a few words of love and encouragement. There is a website where you can get the addresses of prisoners who would like letters. If you don't want to use your own return address, the operator of the website will let you use his. Go to http://jesusinme.us/
Bless you in your effort to reach out to others. God will reward you.

You have a wonderful outlook. It's noble to want to share love and encouragement with others, and, fortunately, there are many ways available to us.
Volunteer to cook, serve, and clean at a soup kitchen.
Help build homes for those who need them through Habitat for Humanity.
Get all your friends to forgo buying Christmas or Chanukah gifts for each other and instead use the money to buy blankets and toiletry packages for the local homeless shelter or battered women's shelter.
Donate blood.
Become an organ donor.
Volunteer, volunteer, volunteer! There are SO many people in need.

I'd suggest putting your gift to use here on YA (not saying you have not been). Watch for people being treated unfairly and defend them. Not necesarily defending their particular point or belief, but defending against mindless attacks. Don't be afraid to chastize fellow Christians if they are out of line, as well. Champion the cause of defending the downtrodden. Many people are here just seeking help or a kind word. Be there for them. And also, do not seek reward for helping them. Help them for the purpose of them needing (or seeming to need) help.

I honor God and creation and life by being the grandest version of the greatest vision I ever held about who I am. This changes from time to time as I achieve one level and go for the next. So, if you concentrate on "being" mercy, you will do things that show that. If you concentrate on "being" love, you will do things that exemplify that. It's a be then do, then have relationship. Be happy, do happy things, have happiness. Be mercy, do merciful things, have the experience of mercy.
Works for all states of being including wise, evil, sad, smart, abundant, etc.
After all, we are human "beings" not human "doings".

you sound so sweet !
I have often found though that when people are given gifts ... or feel they have gifts ..
that people will come to them when they need them
but I am sure you will find many ways to give of yourself .... what about soup kitchens or working with the homeless in some way ?
I am not Christian so cant help too much here ... just wanted to say you are sweet lol

Keep up the good work, you are benefiting as much as you are helping others, all that positive energy is really good for you.
I treat my fellow man (or woman) with kindness, help out where I can, be charitable, it makes me feel good, I like "giving something back", really, I have been blessed with moderate prosperity, I work hard for it. I know there are many less fortunate than I.
God Bless You, thanks for the hug
