My first reunion was just okay. The other reunions got better with time...I guess we all matured for the most part. If you want to attend the reunion with the friends you have a real attachment, that is the people you grew up with, contact someone you know from that class. I was on my reunion committee and we had people contact us that would have graduated with us, but had to move for various reasons. They asked for an invite and we happily sent it. The more the merrier! After all it shouldn't be exclusive to only those who graduated that year with that class. It is a class reunion...and that means anyone who was a member of that class. Good luck and have fun!

I went to my 10 year, skipped my 20 year, but I did go to an all-class reunion which was a few years before the 20.
I loved the 10 year--everybody still looks fairly close to the way they did in high school. I went to the 17 year reunion, and you could really tell people started looking different.
whether to go--how do you feel about your life? most people who went were happy with their situation, most who didn't were down in the dumps, I assume. I'm glad I went--loved it.

Go to the one where your friends are. "Graduating class" is just a handy term to group people. You are a member of two graduating classes - "Old" High School class of 19xx and "New" HS class of 19xx. You could go to both reunions, if there were any people in NHS you wonder about.
I've been to 4 out of 8 of mine. I maintain a virtual reunion web site for my class. We have 100 people on it, out of 500 possibles. There are half a dozen who went to our high school for 2 or 3 years and transfered, and one who went to our HS for just a year - she left after the 9th grade - but knew people in our class from 1st grade onwards. They are all classmates.

I went to the 10-year. It was interesting to see how some people had grown, how some stayed completely the same, and how folks tended to congregate with their same cliques.
I had the same problem of not knowing a lot of people, as I'd graduated mid-year with a very small class; the majority of people there weren't from my class.
I just found one or two interesting people and chatted with them.

I have never went to mine and I don't regret it at all. I didn't like the people I went to high school with. I always wanted to just get to class and do well. Most other folks didn't feel that way so I'm not really sure how I'd feel about going back. Just seems like a waste of time to me. I finally got to go to college and it's what I thought it'd be. Most of the folks there want to be there like I do.
I'm sure people have changed , etc, I just personally don't care to go so I don't. Trust me they aren't hunting me down to invite me in the first place. :)
If you likely people you went to school with you should go. I was friends with people my age which were the grade behind me and if I ever did go to a reunion, I'd go to that one.
Best of luck and hope you enjoy it.
