On your W2, in the field where your federal taxes are listed, is this just the federal taxes you've paid or is it federal taxes plus FICA plus Medicare? Is FICA and Medicare factored in for line 64 of the 1040? I'm trying to get a good estimate on what it will look like come April.

Fed witholding all that matters on W-2. Medicare & Fica on there but listed seperately & does not figure into your 1040.

Box 2 shows the federal withholding, box 4 has the FICA and box 6 has the medicare. If you have no other source of withholding the total of all of the box 2's from your w-2s will go on line 64 of the 1040.

Box 2 is the federal income tax withheld from your wages. Box 4 is the amount of social security tax withheld from your wages and box 6 is the amount of medicare tax withheld from your wages.
Box 2 is the only one that goes on your tax return unless you worked for more than one employer and earned more than $96,400 for the year.

If you want an estimate on your refund, go to your local Jackson Hewitt. they have a Year end tax planner, cost is $5-$25, depending on what the franchisee charges.
