Can any one you give me Bible verses and what excactly is hope and why is it so important? Have you ever lost hope? How did you get it back?

“Hope” is not a vague wish or daydream. We can see this from the series of points Paul presented to the Romans. In that series, each thing mentioned is linked to or leads to the next. Give attention to where Paul puts “hope” in his reasoning: “Let us exult while in tribulations, since we know that tribulation produces endurance; endurance, in turn, an approved condition; the approved condition, in turn, hope, and the hope does not lead to disappointment; because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy spirit.”—Romans 5:3-5.

For many, is the realization of the Bible-based possibility of life in an earthly paradise. I recall when I first heard that teaching. What a marvelous hope—sickness and old age will be no more, we can live on to enjoy the fruits of our labor, and there will be peace with the animals! (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Isaiah 65:17-25; John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:3, 4) I acquired a wonderful hope!

Clearly, Paul is not here referring to our initial feeling of hope of perfect life. What he refers to goes beyond that; it is deeper, more motivating. When we endure faithfully and thus realize that we have God’s approval, this has the profound effect of adding to and strengthening our initial hope.

Hope
one of the three main elements of Christian character (1 Corinthians 13:13). It is joined to faith and love, and is opposed to seeing or possessing (Romans 8:24; 1 John 3:2). "Hope is an essential and fundamental element of Christian life, so essential indeed, that, like faith and love, it can itself designate the essence of Christianity (1 Peter 3:15; Hebrews 10:23). In it the whole glory of the Christian vocation is centred (Ephesians 1:18; 4:4)." Unbelievers are without this hope (Ephesians 2:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:13). Christ is the actual object of the believer's hope, because it is in his second coming that the hope of glory will be fulfilled (1 Timothy 1:1; Colossians 1:27; Titus 2:13). It is spoken of as "lively", i.e., a living, hope, a hope not frail and perishable, but having a perennial life (1 Peter 1:3). In Romans 5:2 the "hope" spoken of is probably objective, i.e., "the hope set before us," namely, eternal life (comp 12:12). In 1 John 3:3 the expression "hope in him" ought rather to be, as in the Revised Version, "hope on him," i.e., a hope based on God.

Faith is believing without seeing. But faith is just the first step. Faith
without works is dead!
Daniel was called a dissolver of doubts! Many try to use Holy Books to
justify their personal doubts and fears. But it cannot be done, because
our Holy Books are about "overcoming" doubt and fear.
We need personal spiritual experience. So there will be No doubt that we
have a spirit within, that keeps living after this temporary material
existence! So we don't have to keep sweating it!

The Greek word that the word hope was translated from on that scripture is "elpis" which can be more accurately understood in today's use of the word as expectation of good, joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation.

I get a sense that "hope" in 17th century English (the King James was translated in the 1600's) carried more of this meaning than it does in today's world.

HOPE is expecting *something* with confidence and trust...

How do you get it back? Raise your level of expectations and don't ever give up Hope!

Hope is an Image you Develope in your Mind.
Takes Time.
