IE7 is a virus... made by Microsoft. This is the buggiest, most virusy peice of **** that ever existed.... Mozilla Firefox/ Opera is the most clean, un-buggy peice of software ever written. Whatever your mom is saying this is a lie. Just tell her thas she kind of messed up. IE 7 messes up your computer not firefox!

The new IE7 finally made me realise I'd had enough. I tried beta1, beta2, and beta3, and then the official IE7. All various forms of crap, although I will admit the tabbed browsing is ok. At least it would be if it didn't freeze. In turn I've contacted the help lines of AOL, NTL and BT (I have a range of ISPs depending where I am). All said that IE7 was not compatible with their servers. What is Microsoft doing, frightening people to download a security update that messes up your computer? Anyway, I downloaded Firefox and having used it for a few days now, I wonder why I didn't do it years ago. But if you want to prove to your mother that she's wrong try the Jason's Toolbox security test . Can't post a link here but Google it and you can see how vulnerable IE7 is compared with firefox. That should convince her.

Find and show her online comparisons between the two - most of the people who know what they're talking about ADORE Firefox. Show her info and research to back up that Firefox is harmless and actually a better choice.
Or you can buy a thumbdrive and put the version of Firefox that works on thumbdrives on there... and she'll never know unless she catches you using it.
Just in case... look for the Theme that makes Firefox look exactly like IE.

She is incorrect, IE7 has problems and firefox 2.0 is real stable. I guess the problem may be how you present it to her. You may be right but lets face it, sometimes you have to give them facts as they don't take and opinion as important.

The bottom line, print them a few articles that side with your opinion, the worst that they will find is that some reviews state both are a tie. I don't believe that because I have been helping folks go back to IE6 or install firefox while they wait for the bugs to get fixed. Good luck hope this helps

Shes lying to you its just another program you have to open to use and their's no compatability issues because i had it with ie7 and now Im back to 6 so shes just pulling your strings and your falling for it. But if your on a limited account I don't think she'll let you download it anywayz.
