It is thought by many (including myself) that your soul is preordained in heaven. Your soul enters your body at your birth. So yes, there is a beforelife.

I recall at a young age in my life, I wanted to go back home, I didn't like it here. It was to restricted and limited, I wanted to be free as I once was. Home is the afterlife, and before life for me.

You would win if there was a prize for best question. I believe that since a spirit never dies we were a spirit with God before we were in this body. Sometimes when I go to a certain place it seems like I have been there before[ which is in the spirit realm] and my spirit remembers it. I only remember it in my spirit. I believe that I was there when He said let there be light.
