Ok..I used Preperation H ointment and I just inserted the suppository. Is the suppository suppose to make it not hurt when I make a bowel movement? I'm not constipated, its there and it wants to come out but it just hurts so bad. Has anyone ever used a suppository to help with hemmeroids and did it help?

i have been dealing with hemmoroids for 13 yrs now and i absolutely refuse to stick something up there , i wouldn't recommend them at all, taking a nice warm bath (with as hot of water as u can take) after each bowel movement. i know it hurts but DO NOT hold it, i used to hold it for about a week straight and when i went i was in tears and it hurt for days afterwards. now i go when i need to and although it does still hurt its a little more tolerable, just make sure u keep it really clean and take lots of hot baths to keep u comfortable, its also best to get the moist wipes to wipe with too , they help some. make sure to try not to get constipated because that does make them worse. other than that your only other option is to get them removed, one day i am hoping to for i know how u feel. good luck and try to stay pain free

OH, have I got a horror story for you! It has to be the most painful thing since child birth!!! "Thrombosed hemorrhoids". If it won't go down, or feels like a golf ball shoved in your butt, I will bet that is what you have....and painful as hell too. The only solution is to have it sliced open and drained (painful, but finally RELIEF). Done in the doctors office, they shoot Novocaine right into the spot to be cut, and it numbs it so you don't feel a thing at the time. They will send you home with Tylenol w/codeine....and I suggest you take it, you will need it. I don't mean to be so graphic, but it sounds like this is what you might have, and you should get to the doctors, or it could get worse!!

Prep H helps sooth - but it doesn't numb. Take some Tylenol and do not hold "it" in or you will be constipated and if you think shi*ing hurts now - you ain't felt nothing yet. If you get desperate you can put pressure against the bulging little bugger. It will at least feel better when you stop.
Keep your body hydrated and eat stuff that keeps your stools soft.

I've heard that it is best to use Epsom salts in a bath to take the discomfort away quicker.
