I'm writing some material on relationships and hope to attract mostly female readers....Which of the above titles would get your attention the most?

This could be used both ways and either will attract the same amount. If I were writting the materials for women to read(although I don't know what it is or what you are writting) I would look at it from this point . . . . is this for their mere entertainment, or is this something I feel could really really help many of them. If you are looking to help them, then you most likley want it to grap the attention of the women who really need the help, not the good chuckle and vise-versa for the other way around. The "smart MEN" I think would grab mnore attention to those who want to laugh about what a male knows or "thinks" he knows about women, whereas the "smart women" title will allure the attention of those more focused on finding vital or valuable information. Hope that helps things a bit for you! Good luck!!

the first title sounds better when it comes to inviting women to get insight on what men know about them, hence your relationship advice, etc.

however the second title is also very good. a sequel in the making? the second title would also attract women readers because it has a "women's circle" type of feel that would attract women, maybe to share tips on what they know about men.

i would say look at both titles and think about what information you are answering (specifically). a book on relationships should also attract men, but that is up to you.

If you want to get the women to read -go for "What smart WOMEN know about men," - it sounds like a compliment-women seem to be the book buyers when it comes to relationships= D

The first one. Men don't know enough about women, and the self-help industry has already made a killing telling us how to treat them. Better make that the subtitle, though — a good title would be "Chick Stuff."
