The Holy Quran : Chapter: 3 (Al-`Imran), Verse:46

[3:46] When the angels said, 'O Mary, God gives thee glad tidings of a son through a Word from Him; his name shall be the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, honoured in this world and in the next, and of those who are granted nearness to God;

The Holy Quran : Chapter: 4 (Al-Nisa'), Verse:172

[4:172] O People of the Book! exceed not the limits in your religion, and say not of anything but the truth. Verily, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God, and a fulfilment of His word which He has sent down to Mary, and a mercy from Him. So believe in God and His Messengers, and say not, 'They are three.' Desist, it will be better for you. Verily, your Lord is the only One God. Holy is He, far above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And sufficient is God as a guardian

The Holy Quran : Chapter: 5 (Al-Ma'idah), Verse:117

[5:117] And when God will say, 'O Jesus, son of Mary, didst thou say to men, 'Take me and my mother for two gods beside God?' he will answer, 'Holy art THOU, I could never say that which I had no right. If I had said it, Thou wouldst have surely known it. Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I know not what is in Thy mind. It is Thou alone Who art the Knower of all hidden things;

[19:31] Jesus said, 'I am a servant of God . He has given me the Book, and has made me a Prophet;

The Trinity was firmly established as "the" belief by the Nicene Creed, which in turn established the Catholic Church with a Roman Cesar at the head of the Church. There were divisions among the nearly 200-300 Christian sects about the nature of God so establishing this belief as monotheism also was a way to drive all other religions out of Rome and give the Cesar more control. When you ready the history in a good book or catch a documentary TV show, like Mysteries of the Bible, with various archaeologist, Jewish Rabbis and Protestant Ministers who are respected in the field of theology and study the Bible--it is really eye opening on how this was strictly a political decision and not a religious one.

Jesus always described himself as the Son of God and the one sent to provide Salvation.

I take it you are Muslim.

There are three possibilities: Jesus is man, Jesus is man and God, and Jesus is God. Your prophets has chosen this already, so why are you asking it? Did Muhammad leave something out?

Matt 28:18Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Notice the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Your can see the Greek scrolls of Matthew dated 90 AD in almost any museum. Your statement that it took two hundred years is correct.

Here is where the issue is: We have four accounts regarding Jesus which pre dates Islam by 600 years. Your prophet makes claims that contradict those accounts. However, we choose to belief in the revelation that was given first to the Jews and then to the Christians. Not in revelations that contradict earlier revelations.

Allah (the name of God) in Arabic was used by Jews and Christian would lived in Arabia. You concept of God comes from Jewish and Christian sources. Moreover, the last prophet that is returning is Jesus.

You have no idea what the Christian message, so do not pretend that you are a third party, because you have already chosen your prophet.

Believe it or not, in Christianity, all three beliefs about Jesus are upheld. Not all Christians or Christian sects agree, but you will find they look for guidance with what they have. Do you really believe that God changes his mind?

Actually, Jesus did say "I am God." He couldn't say "I am the Son of God" or "I am a part of the Trinity," because none other than Jesus and his disciples knew of the Trinity at that point in time. The Trinity is real; it is mentioned several times in the Bible (especially in the John's Gospel and letters). It was not made up by the Catholic Church at all, and has been a Christian teaching since the Church began somewhere around 30 AD.

You are correct, I think logic actual goes the other way, that God and Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are separate entities/individuals. It is interesting that the Trinity popped up some 200 years after Christ and then was adopted in 325 by the Catholic church, and most of the other Christian religions are essentially just a break off of them. Good point.

our intellegence was not as it is now. in all times whe people study they learn, it's not all learned at once. things change, concepts ar more understood. look at a distionary from the 1800's - it varies a great deal from one from 2006. the mostimportant place where God says worship Me is in His commandments - Love the Lord the God with allthey heart, worship no other gods before Me.

Mt 28:19 where Christ tells to go forth to all nations baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
another favorite is when a priest ends mass and quotes 2 Cor 13:14 The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God and the communion/fellowship of the Holy Ghost be with yo all. 1 John 5:7, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

What are you talking about?The Holy Spirit descended on Mary and the Apostles 40 days after the Resurrection.Jesus was part God and part man that is why He prayed to the Father (and that is why He bled ,He cried and He showed anger---He was also human)

he said he is of god,the spirit is of him, he told the apostles and the Sanhedrin I AM=this was blasphemy as uttering these words meant that the person was claiming to be god. all things are possible through god. the idea of the trinity was around,but became defined 200 years later, it existed before but the council gathered to define it as a church teaching thus keeping all the church in union,much the same way the apostles and disciples(in acts Romans Titus etc..) traveled far and wide to keep the churches in union. hope this helps,god bless.

Why did it take 1500 years for the whole idea of the Protestant Church (that is currently SO convinced it it is the only right church) to be introduced in Christianity? Same reason. It's probably all a fiction, and if there is a "God", doubtless he's chuckling, but a little sadly...

Trinity isn't called Trinity in the Bible. God is called Elohim (plural of ALH). That is in Genesis 1:1.

Christians believe God (Elohim) is One (AKD). Elohim the Father, Word & Holy Ghost. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word & the Holy Ghost: and these three are One (AKD).

Revelation 1:8 "I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending.", saith the LORD, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

Rev 1:11` Saying, I AM Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and what thou seest write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches that are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicia. Then John saw a vision of the LORD Jesus.

When doubting Thomas (didn't believe it truly was Jesus raised from the dead) saw Jesus. Jesus told Him to feel His hands & side & believe. Thomas said, "I Believe, my LORD & my God!". Jesus told him that He was blessed to see and believe. That more blessed are those who haven't seen and believe.

Many worshipped Jesus when He walked on earth. Jesus never forbade anyone. When Jesus forgives much, He is loved much. When he heals and delivers, people worship Him.

True born of God Christians are babtized in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The Name is Yahweh Elohim .
