First of all. Women can be very insecure about their weight. I don't think she meant to hurt you by lying. She was trying to make her self feel more secure. She was probably scared that you wouldn't want to be with her. and I can see why she would think that you said "the bleeding has stopped from the shot gun wound " how insensitive is that. I just wonder what you said to her about it after you found out ?
To your question. Yes I think you should call of the engagement. A person should only marry someone they love. You obviously do not love her or you wouldn't have to ask strangers if you still should marry her, and if you truly loved her her weight would not bother you.

If you can't tell the difference between a 400 pound woman and a 230 pound woman, maybe you should focus on other things instead of marriage. Like math. Or having your vision checked. Or your brain, to make sure you haven't suffered a head injury.
But what does it matter? You were fine with her when you thought she was 230 pounds. Why should the fact that she actually weighs 400 pounds all of a sudden change everything?

This happened to my sister. She was only 180 pounds at the time but that was still a weight gain, so her fiance called off the wedding. I have never seen my sister so miserable. Let me just ask your weight? How would you feel if someone you loved didn't want to be with you because your ashamed of your weight? She may have lied to you but maybe that was the only way she felt she could keep you around. That's really sad she would have to do that. It's up to you if you should leave or stay but you guys really need to talk about the situation.

Surely you should notice this, as there is a huge difference between 230 pounds and 400. However if you love her and you still want to marry her, perhaps you could suggest that once she is down to the 230 that she told you that she was you can get married

Are you just being stupid or what? First of all you don't marry someone for how much they weigh or don't weigh! Second I think she probably lied about her weight because she was embarrased of her weight! And Third, How did you not tell the difference in 230 pounds and 400 pounds! You obviously are attracted to BIG women if you were going to marry her anyway!

It is the inside that counts. You should know 230 from 400. That is a big difference, but if you loved her when you thought 230 then you should still love her.

If you have seen her and still want to marry her, but your problem is the number she has now given you, do HER the favor of breaking it off. Site your own stupidity as the reason though since after all, it is JUST a number. Obviously her concerns about being completely honest with you were well founded.

c'mon be a friggin man! you dated her for quite awhile, asked her to marry her, and now you want to call off the engagment cuz of her weight?! You obviously love her or you wouldn't want to marry her. Does her weight matter more than what kind of person she really is? I really think if that's how you feel that you dont want to marry her cuz of her weight, then just leave, she can find someone a whole lot better than you anyway. Someone who will love her for what she is on the inside and not what she looks like.

I hope she has seen this and will dump you first for being so awful. So what if she told you she weighed less, hardly anyone tells anyone their real weight.
She has told you she weighed half her weight, but really could you not see???
I think you are just trying to find an excuse to break things up> Be a man if you dont want to marry her just tell her, she has not changed overnight she still weughs what she did before she told you.
