Yes it is sad. I think those people are in better shape than the people who are so comfortable in their distorted belief though. They are the ones that are luke warm. The Atheists and Pagans would melt in an instant and be so humble when they recognised what they were doing but, several people are like the man who stood in the temple and kept saying " I am sure glad I am not like those other terrible sinners" Those are the ones that are in real trouble I think because when they die they will think they are o.k. and they will not be but, the Pagans and the Atheists will be knowing just what the deal is at that time and they will be calling on the name of Jesus with such a humble heart..... We need to examine everything individually.

Yes. Secularism is beginning to take its toll. We can already see its effects in school violence and the sexualization of our kids. School shootings and rapings are becoming so common they barely get a front page in the national news anymore!

I do agree with that one atheist, atheism is MERELY logic and nothing else. Logic cant teach values. Logic cant teach morality. The problem is that logic alone cannot save you, only to help you undestand the physical world. All the while it denies your SPIRITUAL side. The only thing that reaches out for God who can save you!

Yeah, it's so sad that people are open-minded. They should see that there is only One True Faith and never question or seek Answers from anywhere else. The world would be so much better if everyone just Obeyed The Word and Followed The Path to Salvation.

I've tried religion your way, but I doubt you have the courage to try it my way, without God. It was people like you that pushed so hard that I found a better way on my own. Congratulations! If it's so sad, remember that YOU are part of the "problem".

Surprised, considering this is mostly an American board (I'm British), yes.

Sad - no, more a cause of rejoicing. Perhaps the non-believing majority can find the confidence to reject the bullying theists who've claimed the upper hand in America. Vive la atheisme.

It's more sad when people can't remember their nursery rhymes.

The Ninja say, "I before E except after C, or when sounded like A as in neighbor or weigh."

It is not a surprize, when God seems to always be protrayed as acting and looking like a human. Like we are so good that he must be like us. No wonder people question that there is a God. Maybe it is a start to truly understanding what runs everything.

I guess you haven't read the Gospel (Good News) according to John?

Try doing a word study on the words belief, believe, believer, and non belief. See how Jesus dealt with this topic and what he asked his followers to do.

Nothing has changed since Jesus walked the earth.

Twyla, I have the exact opposite feeling. I think it is sad how many people BELIEVE in gods.
