My half-sister and I are the same age and in the same grade. I feel like we are constantly compared, like we're one instead of two. We should "get along" because we're the same age. Is it normal I would want to not have the same friends as her, not, well, to have anything to do with her...?

Hell, I have syblings 2 and 6 years removed and we were constantly being compared and told to get along. The fact is that everyone is different and noone gets along 100% of the time. Family takes it to a whole new level because they are there ALL the time when you are young, and they know the embarassing details too. You may have similar interests to your sister, or you may be like chalk and cheese. If you are interested in different things and different people, then that's not really an issue since you may value different qualities in your friends.

I believe the more important message is that she is your (half-)sister, and family is forever. There will be a time where you don't see each other very often, and you'll be value the contact you do have. You can choose your friends, but you're stuck with your family - for better or worse. (Besides, you might get lucky and have a sister who introduces you to someone...)
