We as a society generally make the rules. A society define the acceptable parameters within which a person group or entity operates. If no one objects to what you are doing but the government has made it illegal is what you are doing against the rules of life. Different cultures have different answers to what is right and wrong. So the question isn't who makes the rules of life but rather who will be there to interpret you actions. However murder is the one universal law we don't ignore as a world society for too long. Even if we don't act on it.

Doing self-damage (e.g. drugs or virtually any mission on those adolescent self-damage television exhibits) DOES impact the relax of society. If the injured personality has a job, anybody favor to settle on on up the slack left by technique of the empty residing house contained in the approach the injured personality's absence. If the nature has coverage of a few style, people that pay coverage expenditures are contributing to the care of that human being, and avoidable damage drives up coverage expenditures. So, ought to the federal authorities, it really is very somewhat the relax of society, have the the finest determination to position limits on what members do? nicely, to the point that the movements of the members impact the relax of society, confident. once you're a citizen of the USA, opportunities are that your community has invested a minimum of $60,000 in educating you (a conservative estimate at $5k in step with three hundred and sixty 5 days for 12 years), and if in case you've received further preparation previous that, then the funding interior the adult you've were given instruct to be is even more effective. that is customarily interior the monetary interest of society to look after you, even from your self, IF society is going to foot the bill for your damage. The obstacle we've as a society is that many members favor freedom to take probability, besides the undeniable fact that they don't favor to undergo the speed of those negative aspects. people favor to have interaction in volatile behaviors, operating example ecosystem themselves on hearth and utilizing bicycles in to the lake, and then they favor public well-being care to cover the speed of their medical expenditures. If we are residing in a "free-will" society, then the fool who self-immolates and cycles into the lake delivers with the medical expenditures on his own. In our society, besides the undeniable fact that, usually hospitals and governments pick up the speed in some way, and those entities are part of society. That way the movements of the probability taking human being impact the relax people, and if the relax everybody is having our wallets pried open, then the relax people ought to on the completed get some say in how idiotic a personality's conduct is also. that is totally complicated, even as one thinks about it, to do any circulation that harms oneself without bringing damage to others.

I would like to think that our government makes it's rules by what's in the Bible...such as thou shalt not: kill, commit adultery, steal, etc. There are laws that don't pertain to those things that are basically made from common sense, and wisdom.
I try to live by the Bible the best I can. I do have boundaries and morals for myself. Plus, once again, common sense.
Where does rebelling get you? Who are you really hurting in the end...yourself?
