Yes actually. When Ben Franklin was arguing with the Creator about his roll in the daily lives of men, he had to excuse himself because of an appointment. That lead to a discussion of time and time keeping, and God said he was partial to the old system where daylight was divided into twelve hours and so was the dark. Anyhow eventually the Lord suggested daylight savings time as a compromise.

Wasn't it one of the presidents? The idea of DST was first put into practice by the German government during the First World War, between April 30, 1916 and October 1, 1916. Shortly afterward, the United Kingdom followed suit, first adopting it between May 21 and October 1, 1916. On June 17, 1917 Newfoundland became the first North American jurisdiction to adopt DST with the passing of the Daylight Saving Act of 1917. On March 19, 1918, the U.S. Congress formally established several time zones, which had been in use by railroads and most cities since 1883; at the same time they made DST official, effective March 31, for the remainder of World War I. It was observed for seven months in 1918 and 1919. The law, however, proved so unpopular, mostly because people rose and went to bed earlier than in current times, that it was repealed in 1919, when Congress overrode President Woodrow Wilson's veto of the repeal.

I have my Own Idea about this "Let their be Light" Deal.
Remember the Dinosaurs?
Well, I heard they Found One with ButterCups Still in its Mouth, and the Meat was so Fresh, they Cooked'm some Steaks!
DinoLoin!
For Real. I read that in a Scientific Mag.
I Think they were Flash Frozen.
I Think that GOD took out all of the Light along with the Heat.
I Thing that Eventually, GOD Restored the Light and Heat.
Thats what I Think.
So What, Who Cares what I Think!
Sometimes, I don't Care What I Think too!
Hahahaha.
Have a Good Day!

I think it was a bunch of farmers that wanted to keep the same hours, so we adjust the clock to compensate for the loss/gain of daylight. I wonder what it was like before He said 'Let there be light!" ???

READ GENESIS 1:3-5 IT DEALS WITH RE-CREATION(EARTH'S SECOND PERFECT STATE AND SECOND HABITATION) 1. GOD created light ,(two lights/night and day),but in this scripture he didn't create light ,he made light(remember this is the second state),for they were originally created with other parts of the universe in the beginning.the lights shone upon upon the waters on day 1 and 2 ,but not upon the earth, for it was under water until day three. with earth restored, permanent regulation of the planets in connection with it,as before chaos, was the next natural step. study the words: created, made, formed. GOD BLESS U, PASTOR/NEW LIFE MINISTRIES COGIC,COLUMBIA, SC

Even more interesting to me than Ben Franklin's idea about Saving time, is why we had to come up with different time Zones. That had to with the Railroad robber barons.
Just remember, killing time is a crime
Saving time is just fine.
And we are all time travelers, zooming into the distant future at the rate of one second per second (relatively speaking, of course)
