Some girls grow up, get a more realistic view of life and the future, but sadly, too many remain shallow and self-centered and cling to what got them through high school. As I think of all my friends from high school and what happened to them after graduation, one married her high school sweetheart, one married a loser jock who went to a rival high school, and they got divorced shortly after that; one went to college and decided she liked women more than men; three of us graduated from college before we got married and we all dated a variety of men before making our choices for life partners.

Yeah, in high school, they'll go for jocks..upon entering college, and the 'reeal' world, they tend to fall for guys who are gentle and all that stuff.
