My guess is you were old enough to say no, but didn't, and found a greedy lawyer later on.
Statistically I stand a good chance to be correct, because a very small percentage of abuse cases involve children, its mostly consenting teens with greedy lawyers.
Either way, its just an excuse to persecute the Catholic Church.
No one denies the evil actions of these sick men, and we know it was not always handled properly, but hey, the Boston scandals are 4 years old.
No one ever attacks school teachers, who have a scandal incidence that is 100X more than priests. This is the hypocracy of irresponsible reporting.
The Catholic Church is committed to doing further work so these horrible things don't happen, but don't confuse sick evil behavior with Church teaching.

and you are very angry. God however did not abandon you. I counseled some who had such problems and God is the only way out. Something you are doing or thinking is getting in your way. If you trace and identify your thought processes back to the pride that is involved and or was involved then pray about that it may help. This type of trauma gets stored in a place in the brain that is very hard to access with reason. As far as I know God is the only way in, assess your lack of trust and or obedience that might help. Group therapy helps some because then they know they are not alone, it is a big help in the shame area.
I have heard that X sometimes helps but do not know anyone who it helped and have never used.
so seems to me maybe god sent me a very experienced counselor here to help if you want it.
i will go back to your avatar once in a while so if you have questions i will contribute. spome pay $200 an hour for this but i get more info from their faces and can be more specific on assisting.

We all came here with a spiritual mind which was full of love and kindness, but once we came into contact with the material world our mission was blurred. It doesnt mean that if you are christian you are holy. The only thing that is holy is your heart.Remember christians are just like you and me and going to church does not mean you are perfect. We all fight negativity and it depends with how strong your heart is and how commited you are in making this world a better place to be.In every area or place they will always be good and bad people, lets take for instance the hospital. You will always find really nice nurses or doctors and others who are not nice.God always send his genuine people to protect the vulnerable people or to fight for them.Recently the priest pedoephiles were exposed and that what we call healing.Being christian is something and having a belief and commitment is another.I hope it will make sense to you and one day they will pay for that, this is KARMA!

Of course God answers their prayers, he answers everyone's. However, sometimes we don't get the answers we are looking for, or we don't recognize the answer (because often we are too involved with our own agenda or looking a specific response). It is certainly not God's fault that children are abused, and it is not because the children don't believe, but it is because God will not take away free agency from man that this occurs. Luckily we are not the judges of man. Everyone will have their day and God will be just and everyone will get what's due.

I'm sorry for your pain, Paul. Sometimes people do things because it was done to them too. Doesn't make it right.
Your choice now is to be bitter (which is totally understandable) or try to overcome what has happened to you and use it. Use it to heal yourself, it may take a very long time. Use it to see someone else who has the same pain through your eyes when they think another person on this planet will never understand.
You are a good person, hurt by someone who perhaps was hurt by someone too. God didn't do that to you. Perhaps it is your purpose to end that cycle.
God Bless.

If one gives evil power by acknowledging it as being real and an intelligent entity, then it is real to the believer, being bound by satan. Evil acts do not come from God, nor did the human condition, being conscious of both good and evil. When any form of evil surfaces as conscious thought (such as a “real” event), then one must make a choice, and that is to either turn to God and desire more understanding, or reject God and say inside that He is responsible for the creation of mortals and evil. Choosing to reject God cuts one off from any benefit of truth, and life just gets harder and more unpleasant, and eventually breaks one down. Then they are ready to turn about. God answers prayers, so never just give up, because God doesn’t give up on us, even as we appear as humans.

U know this is an excellent question.... when I was being abused mentally, physically, sexually etc..... I always prayed that God would come and save me. It took a whole year. I sometimes wonder why God would let me suffer for over a year. The same torment. I know he doesnt answer all of your questions but he has the solutions to all problems. He wont stop people from their mistakes but lets them make them. But why in the world did I have to pay for someone elses mistake?? We will have all of the answers to our questions one day.

THE WAY OF FEROCIOUS WOLVES
Catholic church teaches that whether or not a priest is an adulterer, a sodomite, an alcoholic or even a ped@phile, he can still forgive sins.
If a priest is a ped@phile and has molested hundreds of little boys, the Roman Catholic church still maintains that this man can mediate between man and God.
Roman Catholic theology states that a priest currently involved in Mortal Sins may still forgive sins. Truly, these are "Doctrines That Demons Teach".

I'm so sorry that this happen to you. Really. God will punish him severely for proclaiming to be a Christian.Like a sheeps in wood clothes.Did you ever tell anyone? What happen to him? I hope he rotted in jail then ends up in hell. We can't let one sick perverted scum that calls himself a Priest ruin it for the rest of them.. There are alot more good ones than bad ones.

(((Big hugs))) This should not happen to any child and I'm soooo sorry a beast who calls himself a man of God did this to you. Know that believing enough or not enough doesn't mean that Jesus didn't hear you and cry tears with you.
