I think the number is not relevant. There's no rule that says what age the couple should be. It's the emotional maturity that counts. Being 23, you might find it easier to find common interests with someone of a similar age, give and take a couple of years. If you date someone 5 years younger than you, you might think that he's not as experienced or mature as you and that you have very different outlooks. As you get older, you might find it easier to date guys a few years younger than you because there's probably less difference between a 40 year-old woman and a 35-year-old man than between a 23-year-old woman and a 18-year-old man even though the age gap is the same.

At 23, there is nothing wrong with you going with some1 from the age of say 18. the reasons i woundnt say 16 or 17 is that younger boys are usually very immature and as women mature quicker i dont think it would last. If i saw some1 older than 30 with a some1 younger than 20, id think she was a cradle snacher.lol. hope this helps and go for it, u aint past it.:)

At 23 I would say the youngest guy you could date would be 27. Don't go younger at your age. How many conversations can you actually have about Girl's Aloud, Page 3 and Man Utd? Go older everytime. If the one you have in mind is younger (and I seriouly suggest you reconsider regardless of how pretty he is) make sure he can at least get served at the bar...

If you like someone younger than you what has it got to do with anyone else? Personally, I mind my own business and don't look at other couples and think anything about age. My partner is only a few years older than me but I look quite young for my age and people always comment on the age gap when there isn't really one. If you want it go for it (as long as it's legal!). Good luck!

My partner (whose 36) says younger than half his age is too young! But from experience, 21 and up or an older boyfriend than yourself is better. But at the end of the day everyone is different, as long as nobody gets hurts (and not under 16) then it shouldnt really matter.

id say 19 my friend will be 23 next month and her boyfriend is 19. I personally wouldnt feel comfortable with that but love is love does age really matter. On Trinny and Susannah last week a 42 year old lady was married to a 24 year old and it was just so so sweet they loved each other so much

Girls with younger guys generally look stranger than older guys/younger girls. For 23, I wouldn't think much from 20-22. 19 or 18? Come on!
