are way too sexed up these days, I mean la senza girl???
It seems like mini skirts are way to short for little girls, tube tops at 10? Even thoungs and tight fiting jeans, for the 13 year olds!
I dont remember clothes like this when I was 12!
I am now 26.

Thank you and absolutely!!! I went to Wal-Mart last summer (the store that won't sell Maxim magazine due to wanting to keep it's "wholesome" image and who won't sell unedited Cd's) and they had shoes in a size 5 (Toddler, the size my then two year old wore) and they were strappy with little heels. They weren't for "dress-up." They were I'm sorry... sexy. I am a young mother and in no way a prude, but how ridiculous. No way will my daughter be wearing mini skirts and strappy shoes. I'd like to keep her off the poles!

I have noticed and I am really upset about it.
Parents should realize that dressing their daughters like this only invites trouble.
I have actually seen "slutty" looking clothes in size 6x.(Peebles Dept. Store, off the shoulder red blouse, with sequins)
I couldn't believe my eyes.
The parents that buy these clothes for their daughters will probably be the ones whining because their 13 year old is pregnant or has been molested by someone. What are they thinking?
I can blame the media.....kids want to be "grown up" so they can be as beautiful and popular as models in a magazine.
But, I also feel it is the parents responsibliliy to teach their daughters to respect themselves and show the beauty they are on the inside.
My daughter always dressed conservative, I am guessing because I did. Even though she is a beautiful girl, (really, not just my opinion) she was very sweet. In her senior year(2002) at least seven of her friends were pregnant, some with their second child. She saw what these girls went through and heard what other people said about them.
Kids do what they are taught, and if you let your daughters get away with wearing the "trampy" clothing, they will learn to be tramps.
I thank you for bringing this up, and I really wish people would realize what the consequenses could be.

I have friends who were losing their virginity at 13 so these type of styles for girls that young comes as not suprise. In facf I was a virgin until 18 and that is really old compaired to most people I know. They have provacative clothing, slutty rolemodels, sexed up television which is plain horrible. If you want to raise a little girl whos pregnant at the age of 16 then let her wear sexed up clothes and worship all these slutty superstars and see where it gets you. I dont knwo what this world is coming to but I will try my best to protect my daughter.

It is horrible. Sex is all around the children. Hell just walking down a barbie aisle now all that is showing is tinie tiny outfits and I won't even get started on the Brat dolls that look like six year old prostitutes. It is scary when you are trying to teach your little girl that looks and popularity isn't everything and the world just slaps it back in your face.

I think it's awful. I used to work for a department store and was outraged and shocked by the girls clothing. I'm never going to let my daughter wear anything like that when she gets older, she may hate my strictness on this, but there's no way I'm going to let her become a paedophile's target because of how she dresses....

you're easily precise. I undergo in recommendations while i became into 8 it became into cool to placed on little mermaid outfits and footwear, now an 8 year previous might snort at that. i've got observed that little woman outfits are only like teen outfits basically in smaller sizes. on occasion the comparable outfit for somebody whos 17 for a 7 year previous. something is incorrect with that. Its additionally ridiculous while mom and dad placed makeup on thier little females and fry their hair with curling irons. Why do you like your toddlers to advance up so rapid? enable them to be little females.

Yes, that is what the media markets to our children, people like Paris Hilton and Brittney Spears then have the nerve to criticize them about their sex tapes. As if, if you were brought up from small being shown that all women are and supposed to be are objects for sex, then how can you blame them for being sexed up. It is horrible women are supposed to be at an equal level to men and if we don't show our young women how to conduct themselves regardless of what TV shows them their values will be flushed down the toilet.

you would think that little girl's clothing is designed by a pedophile. It is the thing to try to dress as sexily as possible to attract the opposite sex's eye.

And we wonder why so many little girls fall victim to these monsters walking the earth.
