To convert your own videos into iTunes videos you need to convert the video. Go to http://media-convert.com and upload your file then choose .mp4 output method. Download the converted file and add it into iTunes. I hope this works.

Hello hi,

I use iTunes 7.0.2 on my Mac at home. Check out the Preferences settings. There is a tab called advanced. Once you are in that go to Import Using: drop down menu to MP3 Encoder.

Now you select the song in your list and go to the "Advanced > Convert Selection to MP3" menu command. This menu changes depending upon what you chose in your preferences settings.

I think that this should convert your CDs and imported songs to MP3 songs. There should be some help inside the "Help > Itunes and Music Store Help" menu command. Best of luck to you.
