Here's an idea, it's what my husband and I did: At the reception, have small photo frames (I bought nice, but inexpensive ones at Christmas Tree Shop) with a piece of paper in them. On the paper it said the guests name, table #, and meal choice. We did this on the computer, so it would look professional. We looped some ribbon on to the back of the frame, so it can be used as a Christmas tree ornament. When we sent thank-you's (they arrived shortly before Christmas) we enclosed a picture of us in the card. This picture was the right size for the frame. We used the computer to put our names, and wedding date on the photo. Some people use it as a small frame/decoration,and some use it on their tree. Everyone seemed to like it, at least it is something everlasting.

To tell you the truth, it's not the give-away-- it's the wedding. I went to 4 weddings over the last 5 months, and the token gift was cute, but I remember the dancing and the ceremony, and the people. I have a heart shaped votive candle holder I don't use, a nice compilation "wedding cd" I haven't listened to, a tiny box of candy I ate on the way home, and a little box of tea I won't drink.
What's memorable is sending a photo of you posed with the guests in your thank you note.

Why don't you compile a playlist of your favorite love songs, or party songs that were played at the reception, or just some songs that mean something to you both, and burn "soundtracks" of your wedding day for giveaways? There are some cool programs out there that let you create your own CD labels, and blank CDs are relatively inexpensive (about $50 for 100 blank CDs.) It would be a gift they can actually use and enjoy, instead of something lame that just sits around collecting dust.

The item I would reccommend would be gift coins.
go to

You have your picture taken and it is on one side, and two interlinked rings on the back with the date of the marriage.
