There is XP _Standard home edition upgrade for PC (N0901087) and XP home edition upgrade (N09-00985) Is one bester than the other. I want to upgrade from window 98 second edition.

sure u can ....Bur the RAM isn't sufficient..that is going to likely be more effective if u can improve to 256MB or extra... check the system requirements on the WindowsXP (on both of them) to make sure they're compatible with your computer before you go spending the money on either one

I have an old computer with Win98 second edition and I couldn't upgrade to WinXP

The upgrade edition keeps all your documents and settings, so go for that.
