No, there is no difference. It is the same bread. However, the stuffing (bread cubes) that is "packaged" is usually enhanced by a drying technique (to prevent mold) and probably a preservative of some type. Also, some of it can be preseasoned before it is packaged by the manufacturer.

Stuffing bread is dried out more than white bread when it comes to making stuffing you can use plain white bread just cube it up and put in the oven to help pull some of the moisture out of it before making the stuffing.

I don't think so. If you're talking about stuffing bread that is already cut into cubes and dried, it is VERY dry! If you use it make sure you add extra liquid, usually broth. I used it once and hated it. I prefer to just cut up my own bread and let it dry for a few hours.
BTW I use a delicious stuffing recipe that adds breakfast sausage and almonds! YUMMY!!!!

I hear this every year. Here is what we do. we go to the day old bread store and find some cheap, out of date bread. Buy four loaves, break them into pieces and set them out over night under cooking film and poke holes in them so they stale faster, but nothing crawls on them. I live in Alabama, you have to worry about that stuff. When it is time, we cook them in our favorite recipe of butter, chopped celery, chopped onion, sage (lotsa that), and chicken broth. Stuff the turkey. The leftovers can be pan cooked. That is the base recipe. I add mushrooms, chopped carrots, minced deydrated garlic, and fresh peas. My eldest sibling adds shrimp, a creole spice (yuck), and scallops. My little sister throws her brats in the car and goes to my Mothrs house. Don't buy that prepacked stuff, it is a waste of money!

Don't use white bread to make stuffing use cornbread. It makes the best stuffing or dressing as I call it.

Some people just use different names for it. There is NO differences between the two besides the name.
