Do electrical engineers generally have high iq's?

High IQs? YES.....that school work is tough!
High common sense? Not all the time!
High social skills? Usually no.....engineers are pretty much dorks!

Engineers and Architects do not use what they design...and many times do not understand the true function of the space they are designing. Thank goodness for the estimators and electricians...that make it all work somehow. Engineers are smart and do go through a lot of schooling but there is far more to being a good engineer than codes and specs and book learning. Ask any estimator or electrician.
