Or if I was created in God's image, it would know that I'm the type of person who doesn't blindly believe in things, so why would it demand that I have blind faith in something's existance?
I must say that Gene Roddenberry had one of the best quotes ever..
""We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes." "

An interesting question, but you forget one thing. Jesus the best humanity had to offer and also operated at levels few since has ever performed on, prayed. Not only that He even taught others how to pray.
We are created in His image meaning we are not an accident and we have a purpose. That Purpose it to live for God and seek a relationship with Him. We do not put our faith in Him for results, but for our salvation and the assurance that we do not walk this Earth alone.
We are held accountable for the knowledge we are given and what we do with it.1 Corinthians 4
Apostles of Christ
1So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. 2Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. 3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 4My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. 5Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.
I could go on, but I think you understand what I am trying to say.

I don't believe we have to depend on prayer for results. I think that God created the Earth and put us here to live in it, but the rest is up to us. He gave us free will, we choose what happens. He just hopes that we make good decisions and everything turns out alright in the end. I don't think he has much input in our day to day lives though. We control how we live, we make our own results.

you have reached enlightenment.
the god with us is just that.
we are gods in our own rights.creating and destroying at will.
we are all accountable for our actions, unfortunately
some are too imature to accept that reasponsibility.
so they learn the hard way, others simply follow because they cant do better or because they feel preasured.
understanding the trueth and then living the trueth is a choice.

You are held accountable for what you do. Prayer is for help when you cant figure something out or even better to thank him for whatever he has done whether we know it or not. It is a shoulder to cry on when no one else understands. It is comfort. He doesn't do everything for us we have to learn and do for ourselves not expect him to do everything for us. Sometimes children have to ask for help.

When we were created, we were perfect and could see God. But after Adam and Eve sinned, the perfection was lost and we have to depend on faith instead of sight.

He has given us the ability to do great things in His name but we have not learned to have trust and faith in God.
Jesus said, "if we had faith the size of a mustard seed, we could move mountains" so where is your FAITH??

You don`t know God ,dude, He wants our prayers because He wants to know if we want Him ,common sense. Just like women when they test my patience and ask me for things all the time.

Our children are images of us as well but they still have to ask us if they need something from us.

If we were created in his image, we would be Gods ourselves, and wouldn't need him.
