To end our nuclear program would be to commit suicide. We don't live in the land of sunshine and lollipops. We live in reality, and there are evil people among us. We must have our nuclear program for our own self preservation.

I promise I'll change my view on this the second you prove to me there are no more evil people in the world. Until then I believe in victory through superior firepower.

Only if everyone else can be trusted to end their countries' nuclear program, otherwise our country would be nothing but ocean between Canada and Mexico. The world hates us, and disarming or scaling down our military would give people the excuse they need to attack.
