The Bible answers all of life's basic questions. Where did I come from? Why am I here? What am I to do while I am here? Where will I go when I die?
The Bible shows tremedous harmony and unity despite being written by 40 men from various backgrounds over a period of 1500 years.
The Bible changes lives for the better. The drunkard becomes sober. The drug user becomes clean.
The Bible accurately predicts the future. Cyrus the King of Persia was named by Isaiah as the one who would overthrow Babylon 150 years before Cyrus was even born. Over 200 prophecies in the OT point directly to Jesus Christ as the Messiah. Daniel 9 predicts the year of the baptism of Christ and the exact day of His crucifixion.
No other book can make these claims.

You have to realize that it is the word of MAN. It has been translated and re-edited so many times that it's nothing like it was 2000 years ago. Have you ever noticed how many translations there are? That means that the particular rulers of the time had it re-written to suit themselves. The Bible as it is today completely contradicts itself so many times that I can't believe there are so many people that actually believe it's still the word of God.

We're all children of God - and part of God - so everything written could be referred to as "The Word of God" - the Bible included.

you cant be sure. the bible is adaptations (different versions) of stories that "supposedly" happened. sorry, but its no different than reading a story book. Dont get me wrong, and i dont mean to offend anyone, but it is true. That's why they call it having "faith", because they want you to have faith in what you are told...I am very religious and spiritual, but i believe in having a personal relationship with god. Not one based on a book or other peoples' beliefs... :)

Ask yourself this, If God is omnipotent(meaning all powerful)
Why would God need written word to convey a message?
Do humans write and print books or does God.

A number of facts make it reasonable to believe the Bible is accurate and reliable. Jesus, the Son of God and the greatest spiritual authority of all time, attested to the accuracy of the Bible, even to the "smallest letter or stroke."(Matthew 5:18) Archaeology has affirmed its historical accuracy. Biblical manuscripts number in the many thousands and, in some cases, date less than 30 years from the actual occurrence of the events that they describe – giving us by far the best attested historical document civilization possesses.
The Bible’s amazing unity – even though composed of 66 books written over a period of 1,500 years by more than 40 authors from widely different cultures and parts of the world – attests that there was divine superintendence over its writing. The Bible not only claims to be the Word of God, (2 Timothy 3:16) but through the minute fulfillment of prophecy and the miraculous transformation of individuals (even skeptics) who have believed its message, it has proved itself over and over to be exactly that.
The bottom line is whether you will choose to believe the Bible is God’s Word or not. Moreover, if you choose to believe, will you obey what it tells you to do? True ‘saving faith’ is shown by a growing desire to please God out of love. Jesus stated, "He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me …"(John 14:21a) A true believer will demonstrate love towards God as he chooses (with God’s help) to bring increasing numbers of areas of his life into obedience with what the Bible teaches

With faith everything is possible. Genesis is God's own eyewitness account of what happened in the beginning. The Bible is written by humans but it is inspired by God. The Bible is God's life manual for us. His love letters to us. Try it, and you will know it is true. Ask Holy Spirit in your heart. God bless you!

You can't be. This is one of those things you have to either believe, because someone says so, or choose not to believe, because there can never be any proof.
Quite simply, if you believe in God, that's fine and dandy, but I wouldn't put any faith in that book. It contradicts itself a thousand times over, shows a vindictive and petty deity who tears babies from their mothers wombs and smashes them againt rocks, hands over virgins to soldiers to be raped, and orders the killing of your unruly children. That book is the most violent fiction novel on the market.

Read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it is true. The Book of Mormon testifies that the Bible is the word of God. If you believe the Book of Mormon, you will believe the Bible.
