Because Jesus is unique. He's the son of God. There's no one else like him. And there will never be. He gave up his life to save us from eternal death. That's the greatest and the most generous act of love ever.

There is a new testament because there we are taught how to live according to God's will. That is living like Jesus.

As for those who died before him, Jesus made it possible for them to be saved too. Nothing is impossible for God.

It's because He wasn't just a man, He wasn't just a 'good person.' Although He was a man and a good person, He was God's Son and He was sinless. That was God's plan, and the beginning of the new covenent (it was the continuation of the covenent made with Abraham).

God deals with different people in different ages in different way. When Adam sinned all men became sinners by natures. Romans 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Adam lost dominion over the earth and God chose the Nation of Israel as the people to take dominion over the earth. When the Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to be their king they rejected Him and had Him killed. Now the Naton of Israel have been blinded. Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Now in the age of grace God is deal with all people alike by what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross for our sins. He died for our sins, He was buried and took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. He did it all for us He is alive unlike your god. Believe and trust in what He did for you also. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

i comprehend that this could nicely be a undemanding observance. babies particularly %. up on it. yet rather there particularly isn't replace in God between the testaments. I, of direction, do no longer share your judgment that God is indignant and murderous. the previous testomony shows a loving and basically God who continuously seeks to share that love including his babies. i'm continuously stimulated with the Prophet, Hosea, who's asked via ability of God to take an adulterous and cheating woman in marriage. She represents the sin of Israel who has rebelled against God and sought relationship with distinctive idols. She is a helpful image of God's arranged to love and proceed to be dedicated to his people inspite of their sins and idolatry. I comprehend that the previous testomony has areas the placement God orders or consists of out basically killing. even with the indisputable fact that the contemporary testomony additionally consists of those photos. indoors the early suggestions of the church (Acts) we learn of a pair who sell their homestead and furnish basically a share of the money to the church. the project is they lie approximately it and pretent they have given all their money to the church. they're the two struck lifeless via ability of the Holy Spirit. and of direction the Revelation is the story of God's very very final judgment the placement great plagues of destruction could be rained upon unrepentant sinners. The Christian knows that Jesus is the only reason God's approach for us has replaced. Jesus' sacrifice has further approximately forgiveness of our sin. So God can returned walk with us in fellowship. I comprehend why people who do no longer settle for our faith war with the previous testomony image of God. Frankly, I did for a jointly as additionally. yet rather the author of the universe has the only actual to choose and be sure actual from incorrect. He additionally on my own can punish evil. i'm hoping in some small way this has helped. Pastor John

You know in the Bible in which everything is supposed to be true, it says that 'ALL' men are fallible. Meaning they make mistakes or cover up the truth to supplement their own thinking. Now if that is true and the Bible is made up of stories and such written by men, does that mean the Bible is fallible too? I think the Bible and the way it is interpreted is like reading a giant comic book. The Bible is definitely fallible 'because' it was written by men. If it was written by women, it would all be truthful.

You are trying to ask logical questions about religion. Good luck with that. Every time a religion gets stuck on something...like what you just asked, the response is "you must take it on faith" or "there are thngs we humans just can't understand". Well, the last thing I would believe in is a deity without logic or sense.

But, you should get some really awful answers to this one. Can't wait to see them!

good questions--- seriously. however there is too much to anwser. the old and new testament are not much different from each other. both the old and new say love god with all your soul mind and strength and your neighbor as your self.. they both say that a righteous man will live by faith.. they both say that gods kindness leads us toward repentence.. and they both say that the son of god ....the only one who knows god... the only one to please god .....is the lamb of god who takes away the sin of the world.

The basic Christian thesis is that Jesus Christ, who was God's son (immaculate conception,) paid the price for man's sin by his death, removing the barrier separating us from God, that he is the substitute for the rest of us.
