Can Christians be demon possessed?

What a good question... I never thought of that! But yes I believe many Christians can be possessed. The demons we have to confront daily are not the ones that are revealed in books by Stephen King, or movies like the exorcist but spiritual urchins that sneak in the side door of our faith and casually flick us with a thought of "hhmm? I wonder would she/he would do it with me?" and the flick could be enough to send us over there to find out. There be the sin darlin, we possess the idea of adultery and then the gall to go and do something about it! Yes we Christians are always possessed in some manner or other. However should we invite these unseen demons to reside in our hearts then the possession is exceedingly damaging and a lot of work with the Christ is required.God's forgiveness is required once again on top of all our daily transgressions.

I don't know about "Christians", but the Bible has stories of demonic possession. One was after the death of Christ, when the apostles were spreading the word of the Lord. They came upon a man who was basically acting crazy. When they spoke to this man, the answer was "we are legion, we are many." This man was possessed by many demons. Well, the apostles exorcised the demons out of this man. The demons went to a herd of pigs, possessed the pigs, then all the pigs ran off a cliff to their destruction.
Do you think the apostles were thanked for this act? They were in fact chastised by the pig owner for having lost his pigs, which were his assets. Well, the man was cured at least.
Another was a man who was able to foresee the future. The apostles chased the demon out of him, which stopped this ability. Many people, gamblers that is, were mad at the apostles, being they could'nt make easy winnings anymore.
So, as you can see, by Biblical accounts, demon possession is possible. With Christian believers however, I think they're protected.

Coming from a Christian, I believe that if you have Christ in you, you cannot have a demon also. I do, however, believe in posession. Not all Christians do, but I have seen someone get possesed before. I believe that there are demons and angels fighting over our soul at all times, but if you accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour, then He will protect you.

I think Christians can be oppressed (harassed) by demons, which they can take authority over once they recognize it. But not possessed. If Jesus is in your heart, no demon could reside in you.

No such thing. "Demon possession" is only a form of insanity brought upon them by their own thoughts. Like how some people have gone insane by shock of the loss of something close to them. Our minds are very powerful and can be very dangerous if we let our thoughts control us.

if u believe in posession like that. there is a story (in movies now called the exorcism of emily rose), and the movie is similiar to the story, a christian lady from germany was "posessed" by a demon, and instead of taking her to hospital family took her to a priest for exorcisms, she eventually died of neglegence, or so the court ruled, imprisoning the parents and the priest for neglegence. it was said she would eat spiders and claw on the walls, that she spoke in languages she didnt even know. but then it might have been a mental problem they didnt know about back then.
