My history teacher died a few years ago at 84. She was the person who most interested me in history and fiction and reading in general. Everyone in high school revered her and called her Lady Mac. Her last name was MacNeil and she was one of the finest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She passed this veil 30 years ago now.

My 5th grade teacher. He was a fun teacher and would always make me and my classmates laugh. I had a rough year the year before with my mom's health issues. He would also never make me feel like a bad student because I didn't know the answer or accidently forgot to raise my hand (unlike my previous teacher) and saw the good qualities of me.

Second grade: Nikki. She was really nice and gave us real fun stuff to do. We grew cress in plastic plates, we made drawings, we played occasionally. And she was really helpful in everything. And she was so funny when we got her really mad. She jumped up and screamed. Ah, good times, good times...

Third grade: Elaine. She had everything you could ask for in teacher.

Fifth grade: Elena. See above.

I'm making up for all those happy days...

Mrs. Robertson, my third grade teacher. She taught me how to appreciate books and use my imagination when reading them. She is the reason I love to read.
