You should tell your friend to check out some of the websites mentioned, along with Magicka School, a school that offers some free courses, and don't listen to jinenglish68, Karaboo, Fish, and Drago, they don't know anything!

She definitely wants to start reading as much as she can to make sure Wicca is the religion for her. In some areas, local metaphysical stores have classes that introduce Wicca to the beginner. Or at least in my area they do. Direct her to http://www.witchvox.com/

It's a directory of Pagan and Wiccan related services, groups, and stores sorted by city and state. There are also a lot of informative articles there.

Read up on it, join a forum or two online and talk to people. I'm sure there's plenty of info on it, just need to search around

I'd start here : http://www.religioustolerance.org/witchcra.htm
and then
here: http://www.google.com/Top/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Pagan/Wicca/

Tell your friend good luck on finding her path!
P.S. Sorry for some of the other answers, they're really, REALLY not helpful. I'm not wiccan but I actually RESPECT others choices concerning that crazy freedom of religion thing

The best advice I can give is to check out some books at a bookstore and search for Wicca forums online.

To jinenglish68.. Keep your nose out of other peoples business.

OMG and karaboo!!! Can't you leave people alone and let them find their own path?!?!

Have her start with this site. I started with their lessons (one at a time, easy to print off) and it's a really good "beginniner's course". I actually really like it and need to start printing off some of the higher lessons since I've got a good handle on the basics.

I'm also going to suggest witchvox.com it has store listings, adult and teen listings for people in your area you can talk to, and their Frequently Asked Questions page is a big time saver! http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=usfl&c=white&id=1938

After that, you can direct her to my profile, and she can ask me questions once she knows what she wants to learn about first. :)

I am a Christian so no but, I can tell you this much in the bible Jesus said that witch craft is evil and that is what Wicca is so please try and change her mind. God is awsum and way better than black magic and Heaven is better than hell so be wise.

Tell her to run naked through the streets. That would be about as dumb as telling her about Wicca.

as a friend, you need to advise her to look elsewhere.
