This is an obsessive/compulsive disorder known tricotillomania, generally more noticeable when you're under stress. Sometimes people pick their eyebrows or the hair on their heads, too. It was recommended that my daughter try Prozac, to reduce her stress levels. She felt that was too drastic a solution. Try reducing the stress factors in your life. Maybe it would help if you put some sort of ointment or cream on your lashes so that at least you would be aware of what you're doing. Check with your doctor to see if there are any newer current treatments available.

I'm confused. You said you HAD a phobia of picking your eyelashes. A phobia is a fear. If you had a fear of picking your eyelashes....then why do they need to grow back???

I had a friend who used to pick her eyelashes out. It took her about three years before she had "normal" eyelashes again.
