Sweetie,

It has to be according to Gods will and in this life we will never get all we want.

God answers prayers in either yes, no or wait.

Gods ways and timing are NOT our ways Isaiah 55:8

First off - just because some guy named John said that all prayer would be answered - doesn't mean that it will. I just can't accept that the Bible is the final word on everything. It's a nice book - but it's been translated so much - and many people have many interpretations of it - so sometimes it's not a very reliable guide.

In my religion - Religious Science - prayer is referred to as Spiritual Mind Treatment. Meaning that prayer is pretty much just knowing that since we are part of God, that we have the ability to use all of our God Qualities. So - I don't usually pray for specific things - just pray that I'll know and use my God qualities. Sometimes you might think your prayer is not being answered - but if you believe that God is making sure that everything is just as it should be at all times (which I believe It is) - then truly - all of our prayers are answered. But sometimes - it's hard for us to see it.

There are Levels to this Faith Walking Business.
If you are on a Lower Level, that happens Quite a Bit.
You have to Grow in Christ to Actually Really Know how to Pray Accurately.
For Instance:
If you could control the Weather in Prayer, how much Damage would you do to the Ecology if you wanted it to Rain when You wanted it to?
Everything Affects Everything Else.
Some Prayers GOD won't let Happen, Or Answer, because of the Resulting Damage Somewhere Else.
Also, if you (and it is Possible) Moved a Mountain, how many People would Perish?
See?
On alot of Prayers, it is best to Add "If it Be THY Will", unless your Walking Close Enough to GOD that you Know What needs to be Done.
Hope this Helps.

Prayer does always works, just sometimes the answer may not be what you want it to be. All prayers should end with "not my will but thine". It is like when as a child you would ask your parents for something and the answer was not always to your liking. If earthly parents deny you your desires for your own good, then the Heavenly Father will definately say no at times if you are asking for something that that in not in His will for your life. But anytime God closes a door in your life he will open another to show the direction you should go.

Why doesn't prayer "work"? I'm not trying to be harsh, but it is not some spell or ritual that is supposed to "work". Prayers are answered! The answer may be yes; it may be no. Either way, though, it has been answered. It may be answered immediately, it may not be answered for years. But if you are truly praying, it will be answered. However, if it is something that God knows will harm you, will He give it to you? Would you give a small child a sharp knife so that he or she could run around the house? No! But even so, "no" is still an answer. God bless!

you are not going to get an answer here but I once got an answer when I prayed for one. God has a view of the whole not our little part, and actions taken here in our small part may affect the whole in ways we can not imagine like chain reactions set in motion on those, time travel movies. The thing I was praying about would have interfered with the lesson I was to learn, and I still have not learned it so I am praying for help on that.

Prayer always works unless it is not good for you. I once knew a woman who went to healing services for 6 days in a row and she did not get healed until the 6th time. She had no idea why He did not just heal her the first time. Perhaps the squeaky wheel has an affect I don't know.

The Bible says the prayers of the righteous will be heard. Not all those who pray are righteous ergo not all prayers are heard and the Bible does not promise you will get the answer you want it merely promises an answer.

The best answer to a prayer, or a situation may not necessarily be the answer you want, or are asking for. And 90% of prayers are more selfish than anything. Which isn't what praying is for.

Prayer works, but the question I have to ask you is are you praying for your will or God's will?
God is not fast food you can't order up a prayer and expect it your way.
Good Luck and Keep faith that God is hearing you and knows your needs.

Prayer works. Keep strong in your faith, it may not be easy to discern what the answer really is. If you feel a little dissappointed just remember that God always makes a way. Stay faithful and it will be revealed to you.
