I'm 6', so unless he was a giant for his time I'd say much shorter.

I do not generally picture Jesus at all. It does nothing for me.
If I did picture Him, it would be a product of my culture and prejudices, rather than the truth, so I avoid it.
Americans (and people in general) are far too focused on appearances. Sometimes, what is being said really is the most important thing.
Christ said to honor God and each other. Beyond that I don't care if He was white or black, short or tall, shape of His nose, etc. Let's focus on substance for a change, shall we?
Okay, probably shorter, most people were back then. sigh

Wow, so many people think he was tall.
Fact is, he was probably a good foot shorter than anyone who's 5'6 today. Possibly even less than that. People were much shorter two thousand years ago than they are today. Humans have been getting taller as cultures mix.
So, since I'm six feet tall, I'd say he was about a foot and a half shorter than I am.

That's interesting. I always imagine him as taller. Most people are taller than me, especially males. I'm 5'3' and a half.
My relationship with Jesus was nurtured when I was a child, when Christ would have been a lot taller than me. And as I have grown, I'm not sure that I have mentally adjusted the picture in my mind to accomodate my growth!

I picture him as a little bit shorter than I am, because I believe he was a little bit taller than the average male for his time.

Jesus was of average height. Probably about five foot six inches tall or maybe even five foot nine inches tall. And medium build, like his mother was of medium build.

dunno but why do people portray jesus with long hair when it states:
1 Corinthians 11:14
Does not the very nature of things teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him,
and why did god tell samson he couldnt cut his hair if this was the case..
as for height, people were shorter back then. my assumption is he would be no taller then me at 5'7''

I'm 5'7". I don't think it really matters what Jesus looked like or how tall he stood in the flesh. What matters now is when He is returning, and for that I can't wait =)
