If the bible itself says that children will not be punished for the parents' sins (Deut. 24:16). Furthermore, if God really created Adam not knowing either good or evil (Gen 3:22), how could such a harsh and enduring punishment as death for Adam and all his descendants possibly be just?

Have you ever committed a sin? Lied, stolen, disobeyed your parents, etc....most people if they're honest will admit that they have, then THAT'S what you'll be judged for....don't worry about ADAM...worry about you.

I've often wondered the same thing. Isn't it just a tad bit harsh to say you're going to punish everyone for something that one person did? Even though people claim that Jesus' death exhonorated mankind from the sins that Adam committed, there is still a heck of a lot of reference to being "born with original sin".

Physical death is needed. Spiritual death is a choice. God has said that man will be punished for his own sins and not for Adam's transgressions.

Read Ezekiel chapter 18. It says that the son shall not be punished for the sins of his father "if" he turns from them. God is just. He gives every person the opportunity to escape judgement of hell. Despite the fact that Adam sinned, God still give us the opportunity to make a choice for ourselves.

we are Gods creation. just like when we create things we have the right to judge and destroy. God created us with free will the capacity for good and evil. while adam did not know sin he was still capable of it through free will. God did not cause adam to sin he simply alowed him to make his own choices good or bad.

God judges on whether we accept him or reject him the choice is ours. he loves and cares for all of us but we still make our own dicisions.

we aren't being punished for Adam's sin. Everyone has their own sins to repent or pay for. Sin entered because of Adam, but from that moment on, we have plenty of our own.

We are not being punished for Adam's sin, we are just results of the change in human nature that happened because of it.

"All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." If you understand that, you will realize that we are all deserving of the hardships life offers. It is impossible not to sin now that we have been affected for all generations by our ancestors having eaten of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Jesus was crucified to forgive Adam's sin, that is what he chose to be born a man and die for us so we have the opportunity to find salvation...or be damned...which ever you chose, were no longer been hold by Adam's sin.
