That's really all we have, and that's how the Bible says we will know them. If someone is not displaying these fruits, we can be assured they are not Christians. They may spew verses like a machine gun but, a branch that doesn't bear good fruit will be cut off and cast into the fire.

To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne....

They keep the commandments o God and remain faithful and are overcomers.
