I saw in many sites about a "Layer" in Photoshop, but I can´t find it, it doesn´t exist in my Adobe Photoshop CS, so can someone help me!? I´m a beginner!

Layers are one of the most used things in phoshop,i think you press f7 to get up layers pallette they are different layers of a picture,so you can edit things then easier hide the edit you have done, to make a stencil. you grayscale a photo, then whack the contrast right up then play with the brightness, of use the threshold option, print it out, then cut away the bits you want to appear stenciled. Layer in PS should be on the top where the drop down menus are.. i dont know about CS, i have the professional verision.. what are you trying to do actually.. i can help if you can tell me what you want.
