Why is there such a gigantic controversy over religions? I feel that the Christians somehow think they are at the top of the world, but we've all heard of Shamanism for the Native Americans, Buddhism, Paganism, Wicca, Celtic Druid, Muslim, and Reiki. Why can't the religions of the world ever agree with anything, even though both religions have SOME forms of backup information? (Not necessarily any proof or testimonials)

Because everyone wants to believe they have their ticket to Heaven, when they fail to realize Heaven and Hell are states of mind. This thing called life is a big dream. We serve no purpose other than the one we give ourselves.

Well because of this one point. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father, but by me". (John 14:6). So, any Christian who reads, and believes, the bible, will not agree that there is any other way to salvation than by Jesus.
That being said, I don't run around hitting people on the head with my bible. I respect every person's right to choose what to believe. However, I do not believe there are "many ways to God"....and that's MY belief, which I hope others will respect.

Because for a Christian - it is a relationship with Jesus Christ that is the focus of our faith. He is the Way, the Truth, the Life. There is no other way to Heaven. This is Truth. I am not better, just forgiven. We are supposed to love people, but hate their sin - just like God loves the sinner but hates their sinful ways. We should love people but not accept their lifestyles - I guess that is why we don't get along too much. Again we are not better or "holier than thou" just forgiven as we cannot have Heaven/Eternal Life without God's forgiveness. I know it can be confusing (for some people) with all those religions disagreeing out there. BUT, it's actually one of the simplest things to understand.
Really easy.
********You look at what the source material of any particular religion is, and you compare to differences of the truth that is claimed.**********
You will easily find differences in opinion on what the truth is.
Those differences are disagreements.
It's that easy.
