Sounds like you're meaner than any dog.... forget the dog.... buy yourself a choke collar instead.

I would be glad that it does like everybody, you are looking at lawsuits if it didn't. There is no way to teach a dog to differentiate between friend and foe, and while you could make the dog mean by doing extremely cruel things to it, that wouldn't be fair to you or him. Regular "attack" training, like that given to police dogs is command, and based more off of a fetching behavior than a guarding behavior. It is a difficult and lengthy process that is impossible to do properly unless you are under the guidance of a professional trainer (police departments invest about 15,000 dollars in every trained dog). Most dogs, no matter how friendly, will protect when called upon. My loves everybody dog has turned around and bitten a person when he perceived a threat to me. Also, statistics show that buglers are FAR, FAR less likely to enter a home with a dog, even if it only weighs five pounds, because of the risk of the dog waking the owner up by barking.

You shouldn't make a good dog mean. The best way is to have experienced dog trainers to train it. But, you can also keep a dog from people. Don't let it see or be around anyone or anything. I hear that some dogs get mean from being chained up outside. But I think that is mean if it doesn't have to be. Just take it to a professional trainer.

Think about what makes you mean. The same stimuli that makes you mean will also make a dog mean. By the way, intentionally mistreating an animal is a crime. Neglecting an animal is a crime.
I suggest you learn how to train your dog instead of trying to make it mean. Training is legal and humane.
You also have the bad option of getting an aggressive dog. Such a dog will be mean to everyone...including you. You will have to take special precautions for your safety and others. You will be under constant threat regarding your safety. It will be like owning a bear or cobra. You snooze, you die.

why would you want to? dangerous to even want to do that. the way your talking you yourself are going to be badly bitten as you obviously have no idea about dogs. be proud your dog is sociable towards people your dog has a gift. wanting to possible get rid and gain another dog wanting it to be mean all i would say is "give your head a shake" get real you are a bad owner. you either want a bad response so therefore well done you gained negative answers. think bout it your dog becomes mean therefore becomes aggressive and bites whether it being an adult or child how many times are you going to be prosecuted and the dog destroyed for your stupid irresponsible tactics.

Your dog is accepting only the people in the house that you are - this is normal. A proper protection type dog should base his actions on his owners reaction to the people. My dobermans like who I like; but if someone threatens me, they act differently. It shouldn't be taught, it should be natural in a well bred dog. If you try to teach aggression - it will backfire on you. Your dog will assume he's the leader and to make all the decisions, not a good idea. And he will probably bite someone you didn't want him to bite such as family or friend.

I sincerely worry about people like you. You would get rid of a dog because it is not aggressive enough for you?

What do you have that is so valuable that you need an attack dog? Most dogs will protect you from harm just out of instinct and loyalty. You are asking for problems with an attack dog.

You do not need a pet, get an alarm system installed in your house.

Give it away and buy a trained watch dog. Never try to make a dog mean.

If you are someone who would dispose of a dog because it is too nice, you should not get another one hoping it will be mean, because if its disposition is too pleasant to be acceptable to you, you will give it away, as well.

If you are worried about people getting into your house, get an alarm system or move to a better neighborhood.

If you allow anyone in your house, your dog sees this, so he reacts accordingly, don,t make him mean you,ll regret it. The tables may turn if someone should come in when your not around, or your dog senses your frightened of the person who wants to come in at the time. Dogs just know these things, if they love you.

My dog does the the same thing... He's a love slut... My mother always asks, "what kind of watch dog are you? If a burgular broke in the house you wouldn't even attack him!" But since my dog loves everybody, everybody loves him.
